The FlowArt® Stamp-by-Shape series offers a unique, rhythmic approach to creativity that blends the precision of a mosaic with the ease of stamping. Designed to foster a deep state of "flow," these books guide you to build vibrant, complex images by placing geometric stamps within designated outlines. It is an ideal tactile activity for anyone looking to engage their fine motor skills while quieting the mind after a long day.

How it Works: The "Sensory Flow"

  • Rhythmic Motion: The repetitive "press and lift" motion of stamping creates a calming cadence that helps regulate the nervous system and reduce stress.
  • Color Freedom: While the books provide shape guides, you have the creative freedom to choose your own ink colors or follow the suggested palettes to watch the mosaic come to life.
  • Tactile Satisfaction: The physical feedback of the stamp hitting the premium paper provides a satisfying sensory experience that coloring or drawing alone cannot replicate.

Creative Use Case Suggestions

  • The Afternoon Reset: Take a break from screens and spend 15 minutes stamping a section of a "Secret Garden" scene to refocus your energy and clear mental clutter.
  • Social Crafting: Because the process is intuitive and low-pressure, these books are perfect for a quiet afternoon spent chatting with friends or family.
  • Artistic Decor: Once a scene is complete, the high-quality, thick paper makes it perfect for framing and displaying as unique, handmade wall art.

Technical & Design Notes

  • Precision Stamps: The stamps are designed with clear bases or ergonomic grips, allowing for perfect placement within the mosaic guides.
  • Quick-Dry Inks: The included ink pads feature vibrant, pigment-rich colors that dry almost instantly on the specialized paper to prevent accidental smudging.
  • Lay-Flat Binding: Like other FlowArt® books, the spiral binding allows the pages to stay perfectly flat, ensuring a stable surface for consistent stamping.

A beautifully drawn fun book.
Format: Paperback
This was an extremely fun book that works as another chapter in the Energon Universe Image is building. The art work is fantastic and the story is full of action and is told in a fast pace. Another reviewer complained it is woke and forced diversity but I did not see that at all. If you love GI Joe you will love this book.

A great pick up for new Joe fans
Format: Paperback
A very fun read! I’m a fan of Kelly Thompson in general and this did not disappoint. I recommend it if you liked Thompsons other work. It’s a bit reminiscent of her Black Widow run.

Shoehorned Diversity
Format: Paperback, Format: Paperback
Two beloved female characters who are decades old turned gay. Not the gift I was looking to give a new generation of Joe fans.

Please keep Kelly Thompson away from G.I. Joe!
Format: Paperback
I only read this because it was one of the mini series that was setting up the new Energon Universe of GI Joe. The other minis were quite good and I hoped this one would be the same. Nope. It’s terrible. Terrible dialogue, terrible characterization and terrible reimagining of several popular characters. The plot is bare bones, poorly executed, and often so contrived and cliched I'm convinced Thompson must have watched a bunch of ninja movies from the 80s before writing this and thought she was being clever for ripping them off. The art is passable but the artist definitely needs to work on his fight choreography and stop drawing women so jacked. Scarlett and Jinx look like they have been taking steroids. And let’s not forget that Thompson loves writing lesbians, so it’s heavily implied Scarlett and Jinx are a couple. Because that’s what modern audiences want to see, more historically hetero characters made gay. Thompson, like Tom King, needs to be kept far away from popular characters and just stick to creating her own original stories where she can work out her issues and fetishes away from the rest of the mainstream comic reading public. And if I ever see her name on another G.I. Joe comic I will most definitely avoid it like the plague. Just my two cents.
