Shapton KUROMAKU is the world's first set of colour-coded sharpening stones, each colour representing a different grade of coarseness in the range. These stones are designed to fit the Hapstone, Edge Pro, Jende JIGS, TSPROF sharpening systems where a 1x6 Inch stone with dove tail ends is used.

Available Grit Range

SHAPTON'S KUROMAKU RANGE IS AVAILABLE IN THE FOLLOWING GRITS:

#120 (White) Extremely Coarse Grit. 

The White #120 is formulated for quick steel removal in stainless and powder metals and can easily set the working edge quickly.

#220 (Moss) Very Coarse Grit.

The Moss #220 is formulated for quick steel removal in stainless and powder metals.

#320 (Blue-Black) Coarse Grit. 

The Blue-Black #320 is formulated for quick steel removal in stainless and powder metals, it is less aggressive than the 120 and 220 stones.

#1000 (Orange) Medium to Coarse Grit.

The Orange #1000 is a very popular intermediate stone and is great for moderate stock removal. This stone is good to use prior to polishing.

#1500 (Blue) Medium Grit.

The Blue #1500 is a slightly finer intermediate stone but It still has a reasonably fast stock removal rate yet still starts to polish the bevel.

#2000 (Green) Medium Grit.

The Green #2000 stone is a very popular finer intermediate stone and it still has a reasonably fast stock removal rate yet starts to polish the bevel.

#5000 (Wine) Fine Grit

The Wine #5000 stone is the first polishing stone. It can still remove some metal but is primarily a polishing stone. It is more dense than most other whetstones.

#8000 (Melon) Very Fine Grit

The Melon #8000 was originally designed for fine woodworking tools requiring an extremely fine edge. It will leave a light mirror finish. It is a fantastic polishing whetstone.

#12,000 (Yellow) Extra Fine Grit

The Yellow #12000 was originally designed for fine woodworking tools requiring an extremely fine edge. It will leave a bright mirror finish. It is a serious polishing whetstone.

#30,000 (Purple) Extra Micro Fine Grit

The Purple #30000 was originally designed for fine woodworking tools requiring an extremely fine edge. It will leave a bright mirror finish. It is a serious polishing whetstone, the Purple #30000 is the finest grit whetstone Shapton offers and should be used by professionals only.

This is THE BEST outdoor/by the pool/by the water tanning lotion ever! I have used it in my tanning bed for years. It gives you a STUNNING rich, brown tan after just a couple of sessions. I will say the browning lotion doesn't absorb all the way so it does and will make a mess! But it does NOT stain ever, it washes right off. Once I am done tanning, I just take a dry towel and remove excess lotion. The after tan lotion is amazing and will turn any little burn into a beautiful tan overnight! My all time fave! It smells like mocha and coffee which makes sense because there's coffee as an ingredient!

Love love love
I have never had a tanning product work so well for me. First off let me start with saying that how quick it works is based off of where you are in the world in my experience. For example, if you are at the beach or an island or somewhere the sun is closer to the equator, it works quicker. If you are somewhere further north, it takes a bit longer, but still not by much. I would say only about a 15-30 minute difference for seeing results varying UV index. This product has definitely made it easier to tan living up north. And the aftercare lotion with this stuff is *chefs kiss*. I would put the aftercare stuff on after laying out on the beach and getting red like Larry the Lobster, then would wake up the next day with a tan and moisturized skin. Plus, with working, it makes it harder to spend my day soaking in the sun(sadly). But I still have a great tan after a week. Also, I am a skincare finatic and this did not make my face breakout or anything. (It does also have a sort of molasses smell but it really isnt horrible). So yes, buy the product. It’s so worth it.

Love this product. Bronzes even the palest of the Irish type. The after sun lotion is AMAZING. I use it anytime after I spend time in the sun - it really helps lock the color in and keep your skin so smooth and lush. I ease in, I wear it outside for a bit then put on sunblock until I have a good base tan - everyones different, without sunblock you’ll still burn… (since this isn’t sunblock) Putting it on is my least fav, hate the feeling of it on my hands, will get on everything in a 20 ft radius of you, but once it soaks in you’re good to go. You will smell like coffee for the next few hours, which is nice if you enjoy the scent.

Love the lotion have used multiple bottles. It really does help prolong a suntan. Very moisturizing very nice scent. Like a you know Hawaiian tropical coconut pineapple scent little plumeria in there. But the bronzing cream stinks to high heaven.
