The RS520 is a true one-box solution that has been meticulously crafted to deliver a performance that rivals traditional multi-box systems. Thanks to an advanced hybrid amplifier design the RS520 will happily drive even the most demanding speakers, delivering a beautifully balanced, natural sound quality.

Premium Build Quality

Four surfaces of the RS520’s elegant housing are made from one piece of high-durability aluminium, reducing the number of separate parts required to produce the casework. This “one piece” production method dramatically reduces the risk of vibrations transferring through the body and significantly reduces standing-waves, which can affect the end sound quality.

Like other Rose devices, the RS520 is instantly recognisable by its striking 12.6” high resolution colour touch-screen display. This unique design not only looks superb, bringing cover art to life, it also delivers an enjoyable and intuitive way to control and interact with your system. Core transport controls can also be found on top of the RS520, for ease of use.

Engineered for Sound

Every aspect of the Rose RS520 has been engineered to deliver the best sound quality possible. Internally, key functions are split across separate boards with individual power feeds for optimised operation. Within the digital stage, Rose have used the class-leading ESS ES9038PRO DAC whilst in the 250W per-channel power amplifier stage, the same Class AD technology found in the RA180 amplifier has been used. This advanced hybrid amplifier technology delivers impressive power with a warm, natural tone, like a pure analogue amplifier.

At the centre of each HiFi Rose streamer is Rose OS, a purpose-designed operating system that brings countless features to your fingertips. Incorporating popular streaming services like Tidal, Apple Music, Spotify and Qobuz alongside industry-leading technologies such as Hi-Res Audio playback, Apple AirPlay, DLNA plus Roon and MQA support.

Versatile Connectivity

The RS520 offers a plethora of input and output options of both the digital and analogue varieties. If you’re planning on connecting “legacy” digital sources, you have the option of coaxial, optical, and USB connections, plus an HDMI-arc input for connecting the RS520 to a smart TV or projector. Coaxial and optical outputs are also provided should you wish to use the RS520 as a (very capable) standalone streamer, connected to an external DAC. A pair of analogue RCA line inputs can be used for connecting other sources - such as a turntable - to the RS520, and a pair of RCA pre-outs give you the flexibility of adding a subwoofer or using the RS520 as a preamplifier with an external power amplifier of powered speakers.
