She used the concept in her final project for the class and it's been a mantra that she's worked on incorporating into her life ever since and now, as a stencil design, everyone can incorporate it into art journaling, mixed media, handmade cards and tags, and more. You can also mask off and rearrange the hand-drawn letters from this quote to make your own words and phrases. (Gwen stenciled a partial "O" and then added a horizontal line in order to make an "E" in one of her samples.)The design motifs were all originally some of Gwen's hand-carved stamp designs; the borders were inspired by hand-carved woodblocks from India, the other element was inspired by a hybrid of a vintage metal finding and architecture on a building in downtown Salt Lake City. You can repeat the borders to make them longer, or turn them into backgrounds.
