Collecting twentieth-century ceramics is a rapidly expanding area, inspired by the availability and affordability of the pieces and by the huge diversity of colours, styles, patterns, and designs on offer. The future for collectors lies not only in the highly sought-after Art Nouveau work of Moorcroft and Art Deco style of Clarice Cliff, and the ground-breaking designs of Midwinter and Hornsea from the 1950s and 1960s, but also in the inexpensive and familiar pieces of the last 30 years and in the rediscovery of many little-known factories throughout the century.

This informative guide was the first to cover a broad range of British and North American factories in detail, and it has now been extended to include the latest collecting areas as well as the most up-to-date prices. Covering over 200 factories, presented in alphabetical order, it explores both the most celebrated and lesser-known designers and manufacturers of the last 100 years. This is a constantly changing field therefore this revised edition includes a new section which deals with additional factories and makers who are attracting interest from collectors today. The book traces the fortunes of individual factories, charting technical and stylistic innovations, and the careers of much-loved designers such as Susie Cooper, Eric Ravilious, Charlotte Rhead, and Jessie Tate. Key dates, areas of production, and principal designers are highlighted in every entry, each of which includes a typical mark to help with identification.

Over 550 colour photographs illustrate the designs and patterns of the different makers. Included are contemporary advertisements that offer a fascinating glimpse into the lives of those who originally bought and used the pieces. An, updated price range is given for each item shown. The book concludes with a glossary of terms, a directory of collectors' clubs, recommendations of where to buy and visit, and suggestions for further reading. With such detailed, illustrated coverage, Miller's Twentieth-Century Ceramics provides an invaluable companion for dealers, decorative art students, and collectors alike.

Large adult aggressive chewer? No. Puppy? Yes
Pattern Name: Classic Squeaky Tug
My large adult dog who is an aggressive chewer got this toy in pieces within minutes, BUT this is a great toy for a lighter touched dog. When I got my newest addition (Malinois mix puppy. Pls thoughts and prayers for me), this toy came to mind because she loves chewing and she’s only 11 weeks old! She needed an interesting toy that is sturdy and won’t hurt her teeth or gums, but is still interesting (the rope piece and the squeaker). She’s not nearly as rough of a chewer as my older guy YET. But when she gets bigger, she will more than likely destroy this. She is almost 20lbs at 11 weeks right now, so I will update if she does destroy it. Long story short: Not good for large aggressive chewers, good for aggressive chewers on the smaller side (maybe 15-30lbs)

Great toy!!
Pattern Name: Classic Squeaky Tug
Love, LOVE, LOOOVVVEEE this toy!! Finally, an actual indestructable toy for my super chewer!! As others have said, the little rope thing came off in less than an hour, LOL. But the 'Corn cob' is great!! My baby LOVES this thing and chews on it constantly and it shows no sign of wear!! I am optmistic that it will actually last more than a month.

Tough chewers favorite toy
Pattern Name: Classic Squeaky Tug, Pattern Name: Classic Squeaky Tug
This has become my dog’s favorite toy! It looks just like a corn on the cob! The toy itself is very durable. The rope that was attached got torn off within hours though. After much use, it still looks brand new minus the rope!
