Like other traditional spice blends, curry is highly subject to variations that vary in flavor, complexity, and heat. It differs from region to region based on local tastes. Base mixes are generally composed of coriander seeds, cumin seeds, yellow mustard seeds, fenugreek seeds, whole pimento berries (allspice berries), black peppercorns, turmeric, ginger, nutmeg, chili, cinnamon, and even optionally, cloves, star anise, thyme, garlic powder, and white pepper.
Jamaican curry powder has a different appearance than that of Indian curry powder. Because fresh Jamaican curry dishes usually have fresh spices added to them as well as Jamaican flavors such as pimento, scotch bonnet chili and personal preferences like nutmeg. Jamaican curry powder is typically heavier on the turmeric in proportion to the other spices. As a result, most blends are a bright yellow. Madras curry powder and other Indian curry powders may have more of a red tint because of the chili pepper in them. It is also lower in heat than the Indian version.

More power, slightly lower (8%) MPG.

Installed on a 2.0 liter Subaru Impreza.
I drive up/down the I5 in california 3-4 times a year. For those that don't know there is about a 200 mile flat stretch where everyone runs at 75-85mph.
With various filters (FRAM, BOSCH, Subaru OEM), I would consistently get 29.8 mpg. Once I installed the K&N, I could feel the car pulling with a bit more power, but I noticed that I was getting about 27.5 mpg.
Totally worth it as the impreza is a little under powered and I don't drive many miles (6k/year) but if you are putting a lot of miles on your car, you may want to have more mpg.

Last December we bought our first new car in 21 years and the first thing I did is stock up on cabin and engine air filters. I've got nothing against dealership OEM parts and pieces but what I do have an issue with is the prices. Luckily, we all have a bit of control over access to OEM quality parts and pieces at significantly more reasonable prices via Amazon. This filter and it's matching cabin filter are excellent in value and take less than 5 minutes to replace. Compare that to paying the hourly rate at your dealer plus the dealership retail price and you'll do what I did and stock up on these two filters. Definitely recommended.
