Tamiya 1/700 Ships - Battle Cruiser HMS Repulse - 31617The Tamiya 1 700 Battle Cruiser HMS Repulse (31617) reproduces the elderly but elegantly proportioned Renown class battle cruiser that was sunk alongside HMS Prince of Wales by Japanese torpedo aircraft on 10 December 1941 two days after Pearl Harbor. The loss of Repulse and Prince of Wales without any air cover demonstrated conclusively that capital ships could not operate without fighter protection, fundamentally changing naval doctrine worldwide.

The Tamiya 1/700 Battle Cruiser HMS Repulse (31617) reproduces the elderly but elegantly proportioned Renown-class battle cruiser that was sunk alongside HMS Prince of Wales by Japanese torpedo aircraft on 10 December 1941 — two days after Pearl Harbor.
