“The Brady Bunch Hour" began as a 60-minute special titled "The Brady Bunch Variety Hour" produced by Sid and Marty Krofft and aired on ABC on November 28, 1976. The success of this special led to a semi-regular series of which eight additional 60-minute episodes were produced and aired from January to May 1977.
All the Brady’s are here…Robert Reed, Florence Henderson, Maureen McCormick, Barry Williams, Christopher Knight, Susan Olsen and Mike Lookinland, except for Eve Plumb. Geri Reischl replaced Eve for this series and will forever be known as "the fake Jan." Ann B. Davis also reprises her role as Alice, the family’s lovable housekeeper.
Guest stars included Rip Taylor, Tony Randall, Edgar Bergen, Milton Berle, the kids from “What’s Happening!” Danielle Spencer, Ernest Thomas and Fred Berry, Charo, Rick Dees, Louise DuArt, Farrah Fawcett, Lee Majors, Redd Foxx, Robert Hegyes, Bill Hudson, Brett Hudson, Mark Hudson, Larry Larson, Michael Lembeck, Rich Little, Melanie, Vincent Price, Tina Turner and Paul Williams.
