Overview
The Orbi-Shaker™ CO2 has been upgraded to include a new, full color TOUCH screen control panel. It is designed for shaking, mixing and aeration applications inside of incubated and humidified environments, including CO2 incubators. It can withstand temperatures from 0 to 60°C and humidity levels up to 100%.
The Orbi-Shaker™ CO2 allows users to simply place the shaker into the incubated environment of their choosing. This simpler configuration offers a significant cost savings over incubated shakers.
To avoid contamination, unintentional release of gas or deviations from protocol, both speed and time are set via the included remote control module. The remote control allows the user to set and adjust the shaker settings without opening the incubator door.
The Orbi-Shaker CO2 is supplied with a non-slip platform. For other platform options, see this page. MAGic Clamp™ platforms are also available, enabling easy, immediate attachment and detachment of Erlenmeyer flasks and test tube racks with a magnetic-based system. Is the motor in the Orbi-Shaker CO2. a brushed or brushless motor?
It is a brushless motor.
How does the shaking platform receive power?
The Orbi-Shaker™ CO2's shaking platform is connected to the external control panel by an extremely thin ribbon cable, and the control panel is kept outside the incubator and plugged into an outlet. This ribbon cable provides power to the shaking platform and is thin enough that it does not break the seal of the incubator door.
How long is the ribbon cable between the control panel and the shaker unit?
The cable is 60.5 inches (153.6 cm).
What is the speed accuracy of the Orbi-Shaker CO2?
The accuracy is +/- 5% of the set speed.
What is the resolution of the speed settings?
The speed is adjustable in 1 rpm increments.
