The 8HP BMW transmission is known for its performance, but an annoying part of having one is being stuck in Park unless you have the engine on to build hydraulic pressure to hold the parking pawl up.

This makes pushing cars around the shop, loading onto trailers, alignments, and towing the car in emergencies a big pain with the drive wheels locked when the engine is off.

Together with Seems Legit Garage we at HPR can present a manual Park Lock Release for BMW transmissions. Inspired by our partners at SLG and their manual park lock release for DCT we have now come up with the design that fits most of th BMW 8HP transmissions.

For durability purposes the kit is crafted from premium materials. Laser-cut and CNC-bent steel ensure strength. Powder-coated black finish of the handle and bracket gives it a sleek look. The transmission bracket and lever, finished with black zinc coating, guarantee long-lasting resistance against corrosion and wear.

The kit will fit all small and mid frame 8HP,s from BMW:

  • 8HP51
  • 8HP70
  • 8HP75
  • 8HP76

Note

If you are using the 8HP Thermostat Oil Pan with this kit you will need to space out the cable in order for it to clear the Thermostat. (Additional hardware will need to be made in order to move the arm and holder out)

I have lusted after this watch for four months. I first tried on a similar model (stainless steel band with a green face) in a local jewelry shop (Spitz Jewlers, Walnut Creek, CA, USA). It was "love at first sight," even if I didn't love the white lines on the face from 12-6 and 3-9. At the time, the MSRP was $775. The MSRP has since increased to $795. My video shows the date changing suddenly at 11:59:59pm, just how I want it; in another photo, you can see that my Seiko changes the date more slowly, which I do not like. This watch is absolutely phenomenally beautiful. If you're on the fence over whether to make this purchase, then I would say "go for it!" You will not find a prettier, more accurate watch at a lower price in ANY store in the entire USA.

Arrived on time, in its original box, include a 2 year international warranty, into the box include a book with the Tissot brand history in Switzerland. Algo a second book with a whole catalog of Tissot watches men and women. The watch looks better when you put in on your wrist. The “naval” blue really gives the clock a classy look.
