The stock thermal bypass valve is supposed to regulate fluid flow to the transmission cooler, but when it fails, it can block fluid completely, leading to overheating and serious transmission damage. Mishimoto’s upgraded bypass valve ensures that never happens, keeping your transmission cool and performing at its best no matter what you throw at it. Crafted from CNC-machined billet aluminum, this valve isn’t just built to last, it’s designed for maximum cooling efficiency. Strategically machined internal passages improve flow over stock, while built-in cooling fins help dissipate heat even further. The direct-fit design ensures a hassle-free installation, getting you back on the road with confidence.
Available in two options, this kit lets you choose the best setup for your needs:
- The full-flow valve eliminates the thermostat entirely, allowing transmission fluid to circulate through the cooler at all times, making it the ideal choice for hot climates, heavy towing, and high performance applications.
- If you’re looking for a more controlled approach or operate in a consistently cold climate, the upgraded high flow thermostat valve features a replaceable thermostat that’s far more durable than stock and opens 10°F earlier, allowing fluid to reach the cooler sooner without overcooling. This option also includes a bypass insert, so you can easily switch between thermostat controlled and full-flow modes with just a wrench.
