Built on one of Pilot's most admired platforms, the Pilot Custom 743 Fountain Pen - Verdigris pairs a deep blue-green finish with the brand's large #15 14k gold nib. The result is a refined, full-size writer that blends everyday reliability with enthusiast-level nuance, offered in a versatile range of nib options including the expressive FA flex.

Craftsmanship & Design

The Verdigris resin presents a sophisticated teal tone that reads differently under changing light, set off by warm gold-colored accents and Pilot's crisp clip. Subtle contours through the cap and barrel create a comfortable, secure grip, while the screw-cap closure protects the nib and seals efficiently between sessions. Attention to fit and finish is evident throughout, from the precisely seated trim rings to the cleanly machined section threads that make routine maintenance straightforward.

Writing Experience

The hallmark of the Custom 743 is Pilot's #15 14k gold nib, tuned for smooth, controlled ink delivery. It offers a generous sweet spot with excellent feedback balance, making long-form notes and quick annotations equally satisfying. Choose from a wide spectrum of grinds: EF and F for crisp, tidy lines; M for balanced daily use; B and BB for bold, saturated strokes; and the FA flex nib for responsive line variation with a light touch. Paired with a cartridge/converter system, the 743 allows easy ink changes and fine control over flow characteristics, making it an adaptable tool for both work and journaling.

Brand Heritage

Pilot has refined gold nib manufacturing in Japan since 1918, and the Custom series embodies that legacy. The Custom 743 shares the same large nib architecture found on Pilot's flagship writers, while maintaining the practicality of a cartridge/converter filling system. For enthusiasts who value consistency, serviceability, and a broad nib selection in a classic silhouette, this model sits at a sweet spot in Pilot's lineup.

Better than any hair cream available today.
Scent: Hair Styler (1 Pack)
I have been using the HURON hair product for nearly ten months. A great product that is modestly priced. I apply the product on my hair after showering. The best thing about the product iis it’s crangrance free and it is not greasy or sticky. My hair combs beautifully after applying.

Wow it's smooth, soft, not overly scented
Scent: Hair Styler (1 Pack)
I rarely try new hair products. I use Aveda sculpting clay and when I tell most stylists this they simply stop trying to sell me their sponsored hair product since they know how good Aveda is. I've never seen a product as smooth as this; it feels like hand lotion and goes in super easy and has a nice hold with really minimal residue. Feels great to put hand through hair after putting this in. This stuff is really different - I'm a fan!

Not bad but read my full review if you are experimenting with different brands
Scent: Hair Styler (1 Pack)
So I am middle of the road on this product. First, I love the products from this brand and use some of their other products quite regularly. I was on a search for an alternative to the Crew Forming Cream (which I have used for maybe 20 years) and decided to purchase this product by Huron as well as the much cheaper medium hold styling cream by Cremo. All three are great products but you will need to decide for yourself how much hold you need as I have discovered that each are quite different and really shouldn't be compared to one another. I will say that if I had to put them all into two categories then Crew is heavy hold and Huron and Cremo is medium / light hold. I must admit that I was skeptical that the cheaper of the three, Cremo, would win me over but it has. For the record it has a very subtle scent (hardly noticable), just enough hold and does not leave you feeling like you have product in your hair. This is similar to Huron as well (although Huron is a very creamy in texture and you can tell its a higher quality product) but at the end of the day all that matters is great hold from a product that is affordable and does not leave a sticky texture in your hair. Cremo wins hands down. As for Crew, well it was a good ride but too expensive and way too heavy...time to move on.
