Feeding on small live or frozen foods like daphnia, bloodworms, and high-quality flakes, they thrive in a well-maintained aquarium with soft, acidic water (pH 5.5-7.0) and temperatures between 72-80°F (22-27°C). Their ideal tank setup includes dense vegetation, offering shelter and mimicking their natural habitat.
Their tranquil demeanor makes them wonderful companions for similarly peaceful tank mates such as small tetras, rasboras, or peaceful dwarf cichlids. Awesome and Invaluable Reference

I purchased the 2nd Edition Reprint in 2023. As a former US Army Special Operations Critical Care Flight Medic (160th SOAR Nightstalker) and current Remote Critical Care Flight Paramedic, I can honestly say this handbook is leaps and bounds above some of the other handbooks I've owned.
