A third generation Japanese American (Sansei), Henry Sakaida has spent much of his life researching the shadowy history of the Japanese fighter pilot. His eye for detail, and exhaustive research, has led to him being given access to much archive material by former aces who have remained silent since the end of the war.

Tom has illustrated a number of books in both the Aces and Combat Aircraft series. He was the first artist to produce material for Osprey Aviation electronically. Tom's most recent work can be found in Aces 26 and Combat Aircraft 16 and 20The outcome of the Pacific War was heavily influenced by the results of naval battles between the Imperial Japanese fleet and the US Navy. One of the key elements was Japan's large fighter component, which had gained experience over Manchuria, China and Mongolia in the late 1930s. Flying A5Ms, at least 21 pilots achieved 'acedom' securing air superiority for the invaders. Manufacturer Mitsubishi derived much from these campaigns, producing one of the best fighters of the War, the A6M Zero-Sen. Navy pilots proved to be highly skilled when engaged by the Allied forces, Pacific. Pilots like Nishizawa, Sagita and Sakai scoring more than 60 kills apiece.

Great shirt, a bit large in arms
Color: A - Moon Gray, Size: Medium
I really like the cut and texture of the shirt. The only thing I would say is it is loose in the arms unless you’re a body builder. My arms are toned, muscular, but more lean than thick, so if you like a snug sleeve this is probably not for you. I’m 5’9” 180bs for reference and wear a medium.

Check the size chart and reviews!
Color: Black, Size: 3X-Large, Color: Black, Size: 3X-Large
Bought this for my husband and if i didnt check the reviews I would ordered it too small. He normally wears a XL in T-shirts but he has very large arms so the 3XL in this fits him comfortably. The material is a bit stretchy so he could have probably taken the 2XL but I am satisfied with how the 3XL looks on him. He looks so good!

Size discrepancy
Color: Wine Red, Size: Small
I like the look and feel of this shirt, but I originally bought a medium and it was too big, so I bought a small. Both shirts are the exact same size. It is labeled on the collar as a different size, but it's the same. If anything the small is slightly larger

Color: Black, Size: X-Large
The material is good quality and it did great in the gentle cycle of my washing machine. I hung it to dry, no dryer. Looks great.
