Frankenstein Jr. and The Impossibles was an American Saturday morning cartoon produced by Hanna-Barbera Productions in 1966. It premiered on September 10, 1966 and ran on the network for two seasons. Eighteen episodes were produced.

The program contained two segments, which each served as a middle ground between Hanna-Barbera's traditional cartoon early output and its superhero-based late-1960s cartoons. Each episode would feature two segments with The Impossibles, and Frankenstein Jr. in between.

  • Frankenstein Jr.: Taking place in Civic City, boy scientist Buzz Conroy (voiced by Dick Beals) and his father Professor Conroy (voiced by John Stephenson) fight supervillains with the aid of a powerful heroic robot named "Frankenstein Jr." (voiced by Ted Cassidy). "Frankie", as Buzz usually referred to him, was more than a little reminiscent of the title character in Gigantor and the giant robot of Johnny Sokko and His Flying Robot (aka Giant Robo). Buzz built "Frankie" and activated him through an energy ring.

  • The Impossibles: The title characters are a trio of superheroes (Multi Man, Fluid Man, and Coil Man) who pose undercover as a Beatlesesque rock music band. The characters' names are descriptive of their powers: Multi-Man (voiced by Don Messick) can create identical copies of himself; Coil-Man (voiced by Hal Smith) can form into a super-springy coil; and Fluid-Man (voiced by Paul Frees) can transform his body into any fluid. The heroes receive assignments from "Big D" (also voiced by Frees), who contacts them via a receiver in the base of Coil-Man's left-handed guitar. During the development of the show, this group was called "The Incredibles," but was changed to "The Impossibles" by the time of production.

The show was the target of complaints about violence in children's television, and was canceled in 1968.

The animated series featured the voice talents of Ted Cassidy (The Addams Family), Dick Beals, Don Messick, Hal Smith, John Stephenson and Paul Frees.

waste of money, useless
Style: 14" Length Sport Launcher
Tiny size and matching ball that it slings right in front of you. When it says small dogs it must mean the size of a rat. This is nearly useless. One star for durability since it's plastic.

Durable
Honestly I didn't think this ball would last but 2 years later and only one battery change later and it is going strong. This ball has given me so much more time to play with my dog since I can throw the ball at night on short winter days I can't recommend it enough. I can throw the ball at night and my dog can find it in the dark. Add a collar LED and it's a funny light show of one light intercepting another.

Great for pm at the park!
This is alot like Nite Eyez but not as good but if you have never used Nite Eyez you will love this!! I have an am. staff that i take to the park at night so she can run around without the fear of a dog running up on her (she doesn't like that) and this ball is great! Stays lit and changes colors and it she cant destroy it!

Works Great!
This is a new version of an old style that was the best most durable, and long lasting night time balls!!! They stay on long enough for me to find if my lab cant find it. (We have an acre backyard and in ground swimming pool) sometimes I have to retrieve it. Stays on and auto shuts off after inactivity. They ARE waterproof and we play in the pool with them on night swims. My lab is very hard on balls, very few hold hold up to his chomping on them. Great balls!!
