The sculptural, grey-green stems of Euphorbia balsamifera give it a striking, architectural look that suits modern interiors. This drought-tolerant plant is easy to care for and thrives on neglect, making it ideal for busy or beginner plant owners.
Light: Euphorbia balsamifera prefers bright, indirect light but can tolerate some direct sun. A south or west-facing window is ideal, but it can adapt to slightly lower light levels as long as it isn’t left in deep shade.
Water: Allow the soil to dry out completely between waterings. Euphorbia balsamifera stores water in its stems, so it is highly drought-resistant. Overwatering is one of the few ways to harm it—watering every 3–4 weeks is usually enough, especially in cooler months.
