Fitment

CONFIRMED: VW air-cooled Type 1, Type 2 (pre-1971), and Type 3 engines, 1200-1600cc — Beetle, Super Beetle, Karmann Ghia, Bus (pre-71), Type 3, Thing, Buggy, Baja. Use a ZDDP oil or additive on break-in, as with any flat-tappet cam. NOT CONFIRMED: 1971-and-later Type 2 and Type 4 / 914 (different cam/case), engines needing a stock-replacement-only profile. Higher GT-2 profiles benefit from matching carburetion, springs, and rockers.
