The Epiphyllum ‘Sarah Courant’ is a striking, cascading cactus with long, flat, glossy green stems and spectacular blooms when mature. Despite its exotic look, it’s surprisingly easy to care for and makes a great statement plant for shelves or hanging pots.

Light: Epiphyllum prefers bright, indirect light. It can tolerate some gentle morning or late afternoon sun, but strong direct sunlight can scorch the stems. Too little light will slow growth and reduce flowering, so a well-lit room away from harsh sun is ideal.

Water: Unlike desert cacti, Epiphyllum likes a bit more moisture. Water when the top few centimetres of soil have dried out, ensuring excess water can drain freely. In winter, reduce watering and allow the soil to dry out more between drinks. Overwatering is the main thing to avoid.
