This is a large 25 kg Sculpture true work of Art that stands almost 25 cm High. This Girl looks like she can see right through you and even has a nice knotted head scarf that looks real. Superb. 

Wonderstone is a unique black Soapstone which goes really hard when you heat it, so the sculpture is carved when the stone is softer,  then placed into an oven to make it hard...much less risk of scratching and damage) Zimbabwe's centuries-old stone carving tradition showcases remarkable craftsmanship and artistic expression and Zimbabweans are known as Africa's best Carvers. Over recent decades, this craft has evolved to create animal figures and other items for the tourism market, but these sculptures are Art, Not Curios. Lack of skill transfer have made it difficult for younger generations to value stone carving as a sustainable craft, so these items will become Antiques, not just works of Art very soon.
