Yamamoto Paper’s WRITING PAD series is a collection of writing pads that let you enjoy the textures and writing experiences of various types of paper.

In 2020, Mitsubishi Paper Mills and Yamamoto Shigyo worked together to develop a new paper. on February 4, 2020, a development meeting was held at Mitsubishi Paper Mills' Takasago Factory, where Taizo Yamamoto (Yamamoto Shigyo) proposed the Bank Paper Takasago Premium. He presented five challenges for the development of this new paper.
(1) "Pursuit of writing paper compatible with fountain pens," (2) "Pursuit of silky smoothness," (3) "Pursuit of ink shading," (4) "Pursuit of ink colorability (brightness)," and (5) "Pursuit of ink drying properties for use as notebook paper. Looking at these issues from the perspective of papermaking technology, they are contradictory to each other. For example, a paper that absorbs ink more slowly produces a darker shade of ink, but is not suitable for use as a notebook. The development team at the Takasago Mill successfully solved the five challenges by adjusting raw materials, sizing materials, and the press part. After repeated trial runs, Bank Paper Takasago Premium was finally produced on September 8, 2020, at Takasago Machine No. 4. It bears the "THREE DIAMONDS" watermark as proof of Mitsubishi Paper Mills' development and as a guarantee of quality. (As of August 2021)
