Although related to N.Alba, unexpectedly the flower has a lovely, dark red centre with lighter petals to the outer edge. The flowers are surrounded by prolific green foliage.
Nymphaea Alba var. Rubra Water Lily are an excellent choice of pond plant for any size of pond. Plant N. Alba var. Rubra Water Lily in still water away from splashing fountains. Lower the water lily gradually so the leaves can stretch to the surface within a few days. Remove dead leaves and flowers during the growing season.
Lily spread and planting depths are provided as a guide only, with the depth being the amount of water above the crown. In shallow water excessive leaf growth will rise above the surface and reduce flower blooms. The leaves of lilies shade the pond providing shelter for fish from predators such as herons, and reducing sunlight exposure to prevent algae growth.
How do you look after water lilies in the winter?
For hardy water lily plants, the key to over-wintering water lilies like the Nymphaea Alba var. Rubra Water Lily is to move them to the deepest part of your pond. This will insulate the water lilly plant a little from repeated freezing and thawing which limit your water lily's chance of surviving the cold. New Bourbon Shelf
I just got done putting it together and hanging it on my wall. It took approximately 35 minutes to put together and another 15 minutes to hang up. I had to use my own larger wall anchors and screws. I tried the ones that came with it but they didn’t do the job. I am happy with it other than that. Good value and quality materials. As you can see from the picture it holds several bottles and room for more if I want. I think the LED lights look great as well.

Wonderful shelf but difficult to install!

I absolutely love this shelf. It's perfect over our coffee bar and is extremely sturdy. Assembling it was very easy, but hanging it was challenging. The design could definitely use a little improvement. My husband had to order an angles drill adapter to be able to get the screws in. He also bought different anchors than what came with it. But now that it's up it looks fantastic!
