Carbon Longhorn 1/1Carbon is the building block of life. All known animals on our planet are made up of Carbon. This sculpture is made by Alastair Gibson and Carbon Art 45 and produced by wrapping this original Longhorn steer skull in carbon fibre, I have attempted to bring this amazing animal back to life. All original Longhorn steer skulls are different, therefore each piece is unique. Material: 4 ply layers of 2 x 2 twill 200 gsm pre preg carbon fibre material. Cure:

This sculpture is made by Alastair Gibson and Carbon Art 45 and produced by wrapping this original Longhorn steer skull in carbon fibre, I have attempted to bring this amazing animal ‘back to life’.
All original Longhorn steer skulls are different, therefore each piece is unique.
Material: 4 ply / layers of 2 x 2 twill 200 gsm pre preg carbon fibre material.
Cure: Cured in an autoclave at 180° for 12 hours at 7 bar pressure, 101.5 psi.
Teeth: Original Longhorn Steer teeth coated.
Horns: Original horns polished and sealed.
Nostrils: 2 Off -6 titanium fittings from the hydraulic system of the Honda F1 GP car.
Coating: 3 coats of UV resistant Spies Hecker 2 part HS Speed clear coat.
Mounting method: Wall mounted.
