Omega 3-6-9 contains a balanced blend of essential fatty acids (EFAs) that help support cognitive and cardiovascular health, brain and eye development; promotes healthy skin and improves inflammation. EFAs are essential for health, however the body cannot synthesize them. The two main EFAs are omega-3 (including alpha-linolenic aid (ALA), eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA)) and omega-6 (including gamma-linolenic acid (GLA) and linoleic acid (LA)). ALA, found in flaxseed oil, can be converted to EPA and DHA but this conversion is not always efficient. Consuming fish oils alongside plant oils ensures a complete and direct source of these omega-3s. Similarly, the conversion of LA to GLA may also be compromised by various factors, resulting in the need for the supplementation of this EFA. Finally, although the body can make omega-9 FAs, they play an important role in cardiovascular health.
In response to the body’s needs for these fatty acids, webber naturals® 3-6-9 contains a balanced blend of EFAs, providing 400 mg each of certified organic high lignin flaxseed oil, borage oil, and wild fish oil per softgel.
