Inspired by the brilliant red tulips in my yard, whose arrival I anxiously await every spring! In this season I have been working a lot with pastel on top of watercolor. I love the visual & textural contrast it provides. This piece has an added textural element. I have textured the wood panel by-hand, which really grips to my pastel work, creating an interesting piece of wall art.
