Infantry weapons teams are a crucial part of any Bolt Action army, offering flexibility and diverse capabilities. Sniper teams, light mortar teams, and flamethrower teams are particularly effective, challenging your opponent in various ways.

Australian snipers were often given limited specialized equipment, sometimes even lacking scopes. Despite this, many skilled sharpshooters emerged from the ranks of the infantry, often veterans of hunting in civilian life.

Early campaigns saw platoons equipped with 2-inch mortars, but they proved less effective in the thick jungle environments. The rounds frequently detonated before reaching their targets.

Later, the re-equipped Jungle Divisions received a limited number of US-made man-packed flamethrowers in 1944. These proved incredibly effective at clearing out Japanese bunkers.
