Growing Figaro Series Dahlia Garden Seeds

  • Taxonomy: Dahlia pinnata
  • Other Names: Garden Dahlia
  • Seed Type: Annual
  • Sow Indoors or Outdoors: Figaro Series dahlias are a hardy outdoor favorite and best sown directly outside after the frost. For earliest blooms, begin indoors 6 – 8 weeks prior as dahlia seeds will require 14 – 21 days to germinate with plenty of light. Transplant seedlings when four sets of true leaves appear into a partial shaded spot in the garden or equally shaded place indoors. Figaro Series dahlias are just as popularly grown indoors as they are out.
  • Days to Maturity: 84 – 91 days
  • Hardiness Zone: 7 – 10
  • Planting Depth: Plant 2 – 3 seeds 2” deep
  • Plant Spacing: 12”
  • Growth Habit: 14 – 18” mounded upright with a 10 – 12” spread of 2 – 3” single and fully double blooms
  • Soil Preference: Fertile, medium moist, well-drained
  • Light Preference: Partial Sun
  • Diseases/Pests/Troubleshooting: Figaro Series dahlia is adaptable and known to be tolerant of drought, heat, and poor soils. Do not overwater dahlias since plants are occasionally susceptible to leaf spots caused by bacteria and fungi in over-saturated and poorly ventilated gardens. Dahlias have no serious pests but monitor regularly for aphids, especially on indoor plants.
  • Color: Signature choice of Red, Violet, White, Yellow Shades, Orange Shades, or Mix

Toy destroyed.
Color: Blue
Dog destroyed it the evening we received it. It was a cool toy, though. Too bad it didn’t last longer.

Best toy every
Color: Orange, Color: Orange
My husky loves it. It's one toy she's not been able to destroy yet. She plays without when she's outside in her lot and will play for an hr at a time. She loves it moves and bounces instead of just tossing it and letting her fetch. The battery life is really good. We charge it about twice a week. It's quiet, so she loves that. It's perfect size for her.

Our German Sheppard loves these
Size: Medium
These cost a bit more than tennis balls, but they are so much nicer and longer lasting. For starters, they stay cleaner than tennis balls because they’re smooth rubber. Dirt won’t build up on them and if anything does stick, like grass or soil, it falls off once the dog slobber dries. They’re also thick, so they don’t fall apart or blow out like a normal tennis ball does in our dog’s jaws after 30 seconds. Our GS chomps on these like crazy and the only damage they’ve suffered is a crack that developed from the edge of the hole, but the crack is growing very slowly and none of these balls have totally failed yet. The balls do whistle when thrown ant high speed and that may help a dog track and locate it, but I’m not sure. Our neighbors hear the whistling too so it’s far from silent. Lastly the orange ball is easy to locate out in our yard, but the dark blue practically disappears.

Great for smaller dogs
Size: Small
These two balls are perfect for the smaller mouthed dog that loves to play fetch. These balls are not only super durable (lots of teeth biting), but float in the baby pool we use for our miniature dachshunds. The value here is much better than you’d find anywhere else. The noise, if bitten hard enough, was “low” at best. Easy to spot/find if overthrown. Will definitely buy again once these are in bad repair; so far, so good-love these for my fur babies!
