Marucci CATX2 Composite -10 USA Baseball Bat

Meticulously calibrated to push the limits of performance, the USA Baseball certified CATX2 Composite denys a legacy of athlete-driven advancements and exceptional engineering. The CATX2 Composite is hotter than ever with an upgraded multi-directional composite barrel design engineered for results straight out of the wrapper. Patented anti-vibration technology in the knob, connection, and endcap absorbs virtually all vibrations for the smoothest feeling bat on the market. Not just built better, built different.

Two-Piece Composite Construction: longer barrel with a wider sweet spot for increased performance
Mid-Loaded Barrel: slight end-load, medium/high M.O.I. barrel designed for effortless power without sacrificing swing speed

MDX Max Composite Construction: our most aggressive multi-directional composite barrel design for higher performance out of the wrapper and faster break-in
Liquid-Gel System: patented anti-vibration technology features the optimal amount of liquid-gel in the knob and endcap to reduce and absorb vibrations from both ends of the bat, creating a smooth, solid feel during contact.
OLS Connection: one-of-a-kind design connects the barrel to the handle from the outside in, creating the stiffest connection available, while dismissing virtually all vibrations on contact for the strongest, smoothest swing yet
S-25 Composite Handle: based on performance data and player feedback, the handle is 15% less stiff than the CATX Composite handle, offering more whip and transferring less vibration on contact
Ring-Free Barrel Construction: allows for more barrel flex and increased performance with no "dead" spots
Custom-Molded Handle Taper: ergonomically designed for each weight drop for a better fit, more bat control, and a better overall feel between athlete and bat. Designed to be easily removable to fit athletes’ preferences.
Enhanced Soft-Touch Grip: debossed pattern creates improved feel and control
USA Baseball Certified: approved for AABC Baseball, Babe Ruth & Cal Ripken Baseball, Dixie Youth Baseball, Dixie Boys Baseball, Little League®, Pony Baseball, NABF and Dizzy Dean Baseball

The CATX2 Composite comes standard with a gray 1.75mm grip

Best book for beginners to learn safe practices in single pitch climbing
Format: Paperback
Great book for beginner climbers, especially those who want to set up top ropes. Goes over anchor setup, knots, gear placement, belaying, rappelling, etc. Lots of good photos. Very easy to read, don’t be put off by the description as a “manual”, and worth reading to learn how to do things safely. It’s definitely not just for those who want to guide or take AMGA courses. If you are debating getting this book or “Top roping” by the same author, get this one, as it contains 100% of the content in the other book (much of the exact same text and photos) and more, and is just as easy to read. In fact, this has a ton of overlap (and many of the same photos) with “Climbing Anchors” which the author co-authored, but is more accessible and spans a wider range of content. If you are the “leader” of your beginner climbing friends or even if you have some experience but want to take a beginner climbing outside, this is a must read.

Perfect reference guide
Format: Paperback
I bought this book to supplement my lessons with an AMGA guide to learn how to set up toprope climbs. I used it many times to practice and reinforce everything I learned. It is really well written and my favorite book in terms of the knowledge contained within. As common sense would dictate this is not a book to teach your how to toprope...it is a reference to what you have learned?

Essential To Read Before the Class
Format: Paperback
This book provides a good overview of what you'll need to know for your AMGA Single Pitch Instructor (SPI) course and assessment. If you plan to take that course this book is a no-brainer. You just have to buy it and read it. There are a few shortcomings: * The photos of how to tie the knots skip a lot and it is impossible to learn the knots from the book. * The photos of what not to do should be clearly labeled with a red cross bar or WRONG overlay on the photo. If you flip causally through the book and look at the photos some very wrong stuff is there and you have to read the text to know that it is not recommended. * The religious debate on anchor systems rages on. Should you set up a Joshua Tree System with Tether or a Backside System? I realize the AMGA doesn't want to pick sides and will say either is acceptable, but the book doesn't even try to discuss the advantages and disadvantages of various anchor systems.
