De cognac is is een blend van ‘’eau de vignes’’ uit verschillende ‘’crus’’ uit de appellation regio’s en gerijpt voor minimaal 10 jaar in de kelders van de familie. Dit geeft de cognac zijn volle en fruitige smaak, die symbool staat voor Merlet.

Subtiele bloemige tonen in combinatie met warme smaken van perzik, sinaasappel en vanille zijn de karakteristieken van deze cognac. Daarnaast krijgt de cognac een mooie kruidige smaak van onder andere, gember en zwarte peper. De afdronk is lang en lekker fruitig.

In 1850 werd de distilleerderij van Merlet & Fils opgericht door Firmin Merlet. Vijf generaties en 170 jaar verder, wordt het bedrijf nog steeds door de familie gerund. Voor het grootste gedeelte van de familie geschiedenis werd er cognac geproduceerd voor andere cognac huizen. Maar na meer dan 160 jaar voor anderen te hebben gedistilleerd, besloot de familie uiteindelijk om onder eigen naam cognac te gaan produceren. Tegenwoordig bezit het ongeveer veertig hectare wijnstokken in Fins Bois en Borderies. Het werkt samen met verschillende wijnboeren om wijnen en ‘’eau de vigne’’ uit andere ‘crus’ te halen.

Great Everyday Paper Plates for the Price

For around six bucks, getting 100 microwave-safe paper plates like this is a really good deal. Also, they’re actually pretty good quality. The white and green looks simple but nice, and they honestly just look better than a lot of the random cheap paper plates out there.
