De Languedoc Roussillon was veertig jaar geleden een twijfelachtig wijngebied. Er kwam veel wijn vandaan; heel veel. Echter was de kwaliteit op zijn vriendelijkst gezegd flink onder de maat. Veel wijnhuizen hebben de laatste decennia hard gewerkt en dit heeft zich uitbetaald. De Languedoc Roussillon staat tegenwoordige bekend om haar prima wijnen met een geweldige prijs-kwaliteit verhouding. Ook deze Chevancy Reserve Chardonnay valt binnen deze categorie.

Een houtgelagerde Chardonnay uit Frankrijk

Chevancy Reserve Chardonnay wordt gemaakt door een coöperatie. Dit betekent dat vele wijnboeren de handen ineen hebben geslagen en samen de meest fenomenale wijnen weten te produceren. Doordat de aanwas van druiven oneindig is, kunnen de wijnmakers enkel alleen de beste trossen Chardonnay druiven gebruiken voor deze witte wijn van Chevancy. Hierdoor wordt de kwaliteit torenhoog en zal de geur en de smaak van Chevancy Reserve Chardonnay je zeker bekoren.

Hoe smaakt Chevancy Reserve Chardonnay

Na de persing en vergisting, krijgt deze Chevancy Reserve Chardonnay haar kenmerkende houtlagering. Deze duurt ongeveer 3 tot 6 maanden afhankelijk van het oogstjaar. Hierdoor krijgt deze Chardonnay wijn wel wat body, maar wordt het geheel geen moment te zwaar. Dit zorgt voor een fantastische geur waarin acacia, abrikozen en perzik goed in te ontdekken is.
