Een van de meest toonaangevende wijnhuizen van Hawke’s Bay is Esk Valley. In de jaren dertig van de vorige eeuw was dit al een succesvol wijnbedrijf. De zaken gingen na een aantal jaren echter wat minder goed en 20 jaar geleden werd het wijnhuis overgenomen door George Fistonisch, de oprichter van Villa Maria. Hiermee begon een nieuw succesverhaal. Het is een bijzonder wijnhuis, dat met grote zorg en oog voor kwaliteit haar wijnen produceert. Onder leiding van hoofdwijnmaker Gordon Russell komen de mooiste wijnen op de markt. Hij gelooft dat textuur in een wijn even belangrijk is als een mooie geur en een elegante smaak.Het vinificatieproces van Esk Valley Chardonnay
De druiven voor deze Esk Valley Chardonnay zijn afkomstig van wijngaarden rond de Hawkes Bay. De wijngaarden in het noorden zorgen voor de afgewerkte wijn met aroma’s van tropisch fruit, terwijl de druiven op de terrassen boven de Tutaekuri-rivier in Puketapu een grapefruittoon toevoegen aan deze witte wijn. Ook een natuurlijke zuurgraad vinden we terug in de gemengde wijn. Alles wordt gedaan om tot de beste kwaliteit te komen. De druiven van verschillende wijngaarden worden apart gevinificeerd en ondergaan een rijping op eikenhouten vaten. De helft van de wijn ondergaat een malolactische gisting om de uiteindelijke wijn iets zachter en ronder te maken. Het resultaat is een elegante Chardonnay uit Nieuw-Zeeland. We merken in de geur aroma’s van perzik en meloen op die vermengd worden door hints van boter, grapefruit en Frans eikenkruid. I bought a set of these toys for my 30 lb black labs (mixed breed). They are normally very aggressive chewers, and as a result, these dogs are difficult to find toys for. They destroy pretty much everything except for those very strong rubber toys which are not as much fun for them to play with. So far, these toys have lasted us 2 days and counting which is quite an accomplishment considering their soft toys typically last about 10 min. or so before they start eating the stuffing and pull the squeakers out. Between the plastic noises from the tenticles and the squeakers my dogs have just been having the time of their lives. We have to confiscate them at bedtime so we can sleep! Even though I'm positive these toys will not hold up for much longer because of their chewing habits, it was worth the money to splurge on something fun for them to get so excited to play with. I intend to replace them occasionally as long as we continue getting at least a couple days of use out of them. If your dogs are less aggressive chewers then you should definitely give this toy a try!

My dogs loved getting these for Christmas! They each have one so they don’t fight over the one toy. Value for the money is good. They constantly play with them and the portability is great too. My one dog, Poppy, drags the orange one outside all of the time

Fun toy for the family dog but the puppy can pull the crinkle paper out

I would have given this five stars because my 5-year-old Australian shepherd border collie loves it shakes it tugs with it. It has held up great until we got a puppy and then the puppy pulls out the crinkly paper which looks just like a clear plastic wrapper so that's not good this is our second time ordering these. The first time was for my current dog and the second time when we got the puppy so he had something to play with too.

Cute, Affordable, Dogs Love

These are super cute. Both of our girls love them. Got them in January and we still have both of them as faves in May. That’s pretty impressive with the amount of toys they rip through. They 100% can easily be destroyed. Our dogs have preferred keeping them. They just enjoy these toys.
