Met een Atlantic Calypso warmtepompboiler kan op energiezuinige wijze gebruik worden gemaakt van warm water. De geïntegreerde warmtepomp in de boiler haalt warmte uit de buitenlucht en geeft deze af aan het water in de boiler.

Goed voor het milieu en de portemonnee
De Calypso VM draagt trots het energielabel A+. De warmtepomp onttrekt 2/3 van de benodigde energie aan de omgevingslucht om het water op 50-52°C te verwarmen. Elektriciteit is alleen nodig om de pomp te laten functioneren. Met een COP2 van 2,75 (type VM-100L) en 3,21 (type VM-150L) levert de Calypso jaarlijks ongeveer drie keer zoveel energie als hij verbruikt!

Koppeling met PV (zonne-energie)
Door de beperking van de Nederlandse salderingsregeling wordt de warmtepompboiler met optionele koppeling aan PV-panelen een aantrekkelijke oplossing. Door het PV-systeem aan de Calypso warmtepompboiler te koppelen, is het mogelijk om overtollige warmte gratis in de boiler op te slaan. In deze toepassing fungeert de warmtepompboiler als een batterij, waarin de overtollig opgewekte energie wordt opgeslagen. Door de duurzame opwekking van warm tapwater door de combinatie van warmtepomp en PV-systeem, wordt er naast elektriciteit ook flink op gas bespaard.

The Best for Athletics

This is a sleek, light wristwatch that will not weigh you down with its bulk. Forget the gigantic profile of a "survivalist" wristwatch. This unisex model is svelte and slim, not adding much to the wake you generate while swimming, or the swing of your arms while running, or the wind as it passes around your wrists and hands while you are speeding by on your racing bike. This is only 34mm across, by 35mm tall, by 11.5mm thick. The wristband is 13mm at its median working width. Timex styling cannot be beat, and neither is the resin-rubber-like material. I don't know about you, but the price is something I take a good look at. I want a watch that is reasonably priced and high-quality. I don't want to spend $200 to $1000 on a watch and worrying about being careful with it. If it gets smashed, it's only $30 to $50, not a big loss, and the quality is way better than what they were making in the 1980's. These watches are made for athletics and the real world.

Great watch, flimsy band

I bought this watch to replace a similar model because the band broke. I see this is a recurrent problem in many other reviews. However, I liked the watch enough to buy it again anyway. I found the new model easy to set, being fairly intuitive. So far it keeps perfect time. I use this watch mainly as a travel watch, and loved the dual time zone function. I am pleased that the newer model now has the ability to set 3 times zones instead of 2, which is an added bonus. The only con I see at this point is the flimsy strap. Unfortunately, the strap on this model is even thinner than on the previous one, and I wonder how long it will last. Also I wonder about the battery length. I think these watches may have been sitting around a long time. The setting showed 2012. I am afraid much of the battery life of the original battery may have already been used up and the battery may need replacing early. Only time will tell. The watch fits my small wrist fine and it is a little more attractive than the old model. I give it 4 stars instead of 5 only because of the band problem.
