De voegbeitel is gemaakt uit één stuk zorgvuldig geselecteerd staal en is voorzien van hardmetalen tanden die zorgen voor een lange levensduur. De beitel is gemaakt in een conische vorm, zowel in de breede als in de dikte. Dit voorkomt het vastlopen in de voeg. Daarnaast heb je met bij het werken deze beitel minder stofontwikkeling dan bij het slijpen.
