Deze derailleur kan nu gebruikt worden met de 'Synchronized Shift' functie, geïntroduceerd door de Japanse fabrikant in zijn nieuwste Dura-Ace elektronische aandrijfsystemen!

Met als doel het beheer van de versnellingen te vereenvoudigen, geeft Synchronized Shift de rijder de mogelijkheid om alleen zijn rechter aandrijving te beheren ('Full Synchro Shift'), waarbij een eenvoudige verandering van tandwiel op de cassette automatisch de selectie van het voorste kettingblad beïnvloedt, om de kettinglijn en cadans te behouden. Gebruik in de 'Semi Synchro Shift' modus is ook mogelijk: in dit geval wordt alleen de bediening van de kettingbladen geregeld en wordt de ketting automatisch uitgelijnd op de juiste ontwikkeling op de cassette!
