Deze Wisteria sinensis is normalite een klimplant uit de vlinderbloemenfamilie (Fabaceae). Hij staat bekend om zijn spectaculaire bloemtrossen en zijn krachtige groei. Nu ook als solitaire boomvorm beschikbaar. Prachtig als achtergrond van een middelgrote vaste planten border. 

Bloei en blad Wisteria sinensis boom/ struik vorm

Deze bladverliezende klimmer is speciaal gekweekt en wordt zo'n 3 meter groot. De bladeren zijn geveerd en frisgroen, en in de herfst verkleuren ze naar geel. De rijke bloei vindt plaats in het voorjaar, meestal in april of mei, voordat het blad volledig is uitgelopen. De bloemen verschijnen in lange, hangende trossen en variëren van lila tot diep violet. Ze verspreiden een aangename, zoete geur die veel bijen en vlinders aantrekt.

Standplaats in de tuin

Deze schotelvormige struik houdt van een zonnige, beschutte standplaats en een licht voedzame, goed doorlatende grond. Hij verdraagt droogte redelijk goed zodra hij goed geworteld is. Hoewel blauweregen lang kan duren voordat hij voor het eerst bloeit, kan dit proces worden versneld door de wortels licht te verstoren of een enting van een bloeiend exemplaar te kiezen. Door zijn romantische uitstraling en spectaculaire bloei is Wisteria sinensis een geliefde keuze voor tuinen en pergola’s.

Maestro House Mini Coffee Scale
I have begun to drink tea, pu’erh tea to be specific. I have several varieties and I have had a problem with getting consistent results. The varieties can be very different in size depending on when the leaves are harvested (leaves harvested in spring are much smaller). So the easiest way to get consistent results is by weight. This scale is very easy to use with a ceramic tea scoop, set the tea scoop on the scale, zero it out and add tea leaves. This has made my results much better, without the wild swings in strength I had been getting before trying to eyeball even measures. This scale gives me accurate measurements to one tenth of a gram.
