The “Angéline” Rosé 2012 is a rare and prestigious cuvée, produced only in outstanding vintages and released in limited quantities. In magnum format, it offers even greater aging potential and complexity, making it a true collector’s Champagne.
Blend & Origin
Crafted from 60% Pinot Noir and 40% Chardonnay from J. Lassalle’s Premier Cru vineyards in Chigny-les-Roses, the rosé character is achieved by blending in a carefully selected still red wine from Pinot Noir (vintage 2018), giving both its delicate salmon hue and refined red-berry expression.
Vinification & Aging
As with the white Angéline, the grapes are hand-harvested and gently pressed, followed by temperature-controlled fermentation and full malolactic conversion. The base wines mature in tanks for 8–10 months before estate bottling. The Champagne then rests for 10 years on its lees in bottle before disgorgement, carried out just months before release. A dosage of ~7 g/L ensures perfect balance.
Tasting Profile
A luminous pale rosé with fine, persistent bubbles. The bouquet is expressive with aromas of wild strawberries, raspberries, citrus, rose petals, and brioche. The palate is both refined and powerful, combining fresh red berry fruit with creamy texture, mineral precision, and a long, elegant finish.
Serving & Pairing
