Hoewel Calabrië vroeger één van de meest populaire wijngebieden in Italië was, trekken steeds meer wijnmakers richting het rijkere noorden. Maar Fortunato en zijn vrouw Giovanna geloven in de potentie van hun geboorteland. Toen zij in 2004 hun wijngoed startten, hadden ze een belangrijk doel voor ogen: het maken van kwaliteitswijnen die de eeuwenoude historie van het wijngebied uitdragen. De 100 hectare wijngaarden zijn grotendeels aangeplant met inheemse druivenrassen zoals de greco bianco, gaglioppo en magliocco. De kelders zijn voorzien van hypermoderne apparatuur, die bijdraagt aan de uitzonderlijke kwaliteit van de wijnen. Maar in de filosofie van de Iuzzolini’s staan de traditie en de geschiedenis van het gebied centraal. Het wijnhuis is gebouwd in traditionele stijl, en er is zelfs een museum met eeuwenoude voorwerpen op het landgoed te vinden.

Moeder én grootmoeder Giovanna wordt door de hele familie Iuzzolini op handen gedragen. De mooiste witte wijn is dan ook naar haar vernoemd. De greco bianco druiven voor de Donna Giovanna worden laat geoogst (vendemmia tardiva) wat de wijn een extra rijpe smaak met een licht aangenaam restzoet geeft. Op nieuw eiken gerijpt, vol en complex van smaak.

I'm truly bummed because I loved this product and was so excited to find such an accurate brow pen that was a good price. I thought the search was over.. I did not leave the cap open and when not in use, stored vertically so the tip is pointing down (good habits for such products). Two uses and it was like it was empty. I could get a stroke here and there, but it just kept giving less and less. Maybe I did something wrong, but I've been on the hunt for a good brow pen and have tried many - I know the do's and dont's. I'm so so soo bummed because it was amazing and so relieving for the brief moment I was able to use it. I thought my search was over. I may try it again - maybe it was a fluke.. but this is a great pen if it can actually provide more than a couple uses.
