Blackmagic Pyxis Monitor EVF Kit

This EVF‑ready monitoring package is designed to deliver a bright, responsive and highly adaptable viewing experience for handheld and rig‑based digital film workflows. Built around a five inch HDR capacitive touchscreen display, it combines monitoring clarity with full camera control in a compact form that mounts securely in a wide variety of positions. The display’s 1500 nit brightness ensures excellent visibility outdoors, while the included foldable sunshade improves contrast when operating in harsh lighting. The integrated accelerometer automatically rotates the image when the screen is mounted upside down, providing uninterrupted usability regardless of placement.

On screen menus offer direct access to essential functions such as frame rate, shutter angle, iris, ISO, white balance, tint and timecode. Operators can start or stop recording, manage media, adjust audio, activate focus zoom or navigate digital slate and camera menus with simple touch input. Three assignable function buttons provide rapid access to user‑defined presets or monitoring tools, enabling quick toggling of overlays including clean feed, LUTs, guides, focus assist, false color, zebras and grid markers. This combination of tactile and touch controls gives the unit the flexibility of a field monitor with the speed of an EVF interface. 

The package includes an extensive mounting ecosystem to support both PYXIS and URSA Cine camera designs. The dovetail shoe, fixed mount and swivel mount allow precise positioning on cages, handles or rig arms, while the URSA Cine EVF bracket and rotating bracket with carbon fibre rods transform the monitor into a fully functional electronic viewfinder. These rigging components allow operators to bring the monitor close to the eye for stable handheld framing or position it externally on gimbals or cranes where the built in camera display is obscured. Multiple ARRI‑standard mounting points on the monitor itself ensure secure attachment across professional setups. 

Connectivity is provided through a locking USB‑C port that delivers video, power, camera control and firmware updates over a single cable. Compatibility spans PYXIS 6K models, URSA Cine 12K and 17K cameras as well as the Micro Studio Camera 4K G2. This broad support makes the kit an adaptable monitoring solution for operators working across Blackmagic’s latest camera systems. With its rugged build, fast controls and EVF capability, the kit enhances both monitoring accuracy and filming ergonomics on demanding productions.
