Het Eventuri Verschil

De Eventuri-inlaat voor de Audi RS6/RS7 C7 zet een nieuwe standaard voor inlaatontwerpen op dit platform. Het systeem is ontwikkeld met twee hoofddoelen:

  1. Het verminderen van beperkingen in de turbo-inlaatroutes.
  2. Het behouden van lage inlaattemperaturen.

Het eerste doel is bereikt door elke turbo te voorzien van een afzonderlijk filter en Venturi-stack, wat de luchtweerstand vermindert en de efficiëntie van de turbo’s verhoogt. Het tweede doel is gerealiseerd door de filters te omsluiten in een carbon fibre luchtkast en deze te voorzien van een extra luchttoevoer via een scoop achter de voorgrill. De motorruimte van de RS6/RS7 heeft meerdere warmtebronnen vanuit verschillende richtingen, waardoor een eenvoudige configuratie met open filters en hitteschilden zou leiden tot hogere inlaatluchttemperaturen (IAT). De carbon fibre luchtkast is ontworpen om optimaal gebruik te maken van de beschikbare ruimte en alle warmtebronnen te blokkeren. De resulterende prestatiewinst en esthetiek zijn toonaangevend in de industrie voor de RS6/RS7.

Het Eventuri-systeem voor de RS6/RS7 maakt gebruik van twee Venturi-stacks die zijn gemonteerd op de filters en soepel overgaan naar de turbobuizen. Deze stacks zorgen voor een aerodynamisch efficiënte luchtstroom van de filters naar de turbo’s. Dit is niet zomaar een kegelvormig filter met een hitteschild, maar een uniek ontwerp dat het Venturi-effect benut en zorgt voor een laminaire luchtstroom door de buizen, waardoor de luchtweerstand op de turbo's wordt verminderd.

De installatie van dit Eventuri systeem creëert een vermogenswinst van 15 tot 19pk en een koppeltoename van 18 tot 23Nm.

Finally a Cooling Blanket That Actually Works for Hot Sleepers

I first got to know this brand when they released their cooling pillow. At the time, I was very skeptical because I’ve tried many “cooling” pillows and pillowcases from other brands, and almost all of them failed to stay cool throughout the night. Surprisingly, this brand was the first one that actually worked for me. Going through menopause has been extremely difficult, especially dealing with the constant heat and night sweats. I kept thinking that if they could somehow use the same cooling technology in a blanket, it would be amazing — and they actually did it. This blanket has honestly been a lifesaver for me. One side has the cooling fabric while the other side feels more like a regular blanket, so you can switch depending on the temperature or season. I’ve been using a silk comforter before this, and while it was comfortable, it really didn’t help much with overheating at night. This cooling blanket made a noticeable difference almost immediately. What impressed me most is that the cooling effect doesn’t just disappear after a few minutes. It stays comfortably cool and lightweight through the night without feeling damp or overly thin. Since using it, I’ve actually been tracking improvements in my sleep using my WHOOP device, and over the past 20 days I’ve noticed my deep sleep readings improving consistently. The blanket also feels well made, soft, and lightweight without feeling cheap. For the quality and performance, I think the price is very fair, especially compared to other “cooling” bedding products that overpromise and underdeliver. If you struggle with hot sleeping, night sweats, or menopause-related heat issues, I would absolutely recommend giving this a try. It genuinely improved my sleep quality.

Great blanket for keeping cool, but doesn't magically defy physics.

This blanket is pretty awesome, and functions exactly as stated; however you might get the wrong impression from the image of the blanket in a the snowy mountains glowing blue as if its actively cooling. The blanket has two sides, the "cold" and "normal" side -- the cold side is the one that has the Q-max 0.45 effect, it actually feels cool to the touch. That being said, covering yourself with this blanket feels pretty similar to using a down blanket with a silk (or some cooler) fabric. It feels quite cool initially but eventually your body puts out enough heat and it "runs out" of cooling. Although this blanket doesn't magically actively generate cooling, its quite effective because it operates fundamentally differently from most blankets. Most blankets are engineered to keep you warm by trapping heat in; this blanket is explicitly designed to draw heat away from your body. As such, it is extremely effective if you use a fan or run the AC, because your body heat is drawn away from the top surface and the inner surface can "grab" and remove more heat. As you probably know, air is a great insulator so this blanket has to be making contact with your body to achieve the cooling effect. If you are familiar with the way "Under Armor" works, I believe this blanket uses a similar principle to keep you cool. This blanket is quite light weight and comfortable, with a very silky (polyester) feeling outer surface. I have not owned this for a year yet, but I'm quite confident that this blanket would be suitable for winter (in Southern California); except if you live in a snowy region. 5/5 for a somewhat high tech blanket that keeps you cool; its the best in cooling you can get without resorting to "active" cooled blankets such as ones with water circulation.
