Beef Back Ribs
Heritage Angus runder spareribs zitten bomvol smaak, zijn super sappig en hebben een perfecte balans van mals vlees en smaak.
Perfect voor in de BBQ of in de oven.
Afkomstig van Heritage Angus-runderen uit Canada, die 180 dagen graan gevoerd worden, heeft deze picanha een rijke marmering en volle rundvleessmaak. Bovendien is het vlees volledig vrij van antibiotica, waardoor je geniet van puur natuurvlees van topkwaliteit.
Recept: Deze keer hebben we gekozen voor de Beef Back Ribs. Zeg maar de runder variant van onze Iberico Baby Back Ribs.
Net als met varkens spareribs zijn er verschillende opties, zoals eerst voorgrillen, wel of niet inpakken etc.
Wij gaan voor de ‘lazy way’ en kiezen voor een low and slow sessie op 110-120 graden zonder inpakken of voorgrillen.
Eerst verwijderen we het vlies aan de botzijde en bestrooien we de ribben rondom met Spicy White Lightning.

De Big Green Egg zetten we met convEGGtor (platesetter) er in op ca. 115 graden.
We leggen een blokje rookhout op de kolen en we leggen de ribben in de BGE.
Nu mengen we alvast 120 ml appelcider azijn met 2 eetlepels Kosmos Honey Killer Bee Rub.
Na een uurtje zitten de kruiden lekker aan het vlees en bestrijken we de ribben voorzichtig met onze appelcider BBQ saus mix.
Dit herhalen we de komende 3 uur nog een keer of 4.
De azijn zorgt voor malser vlees en de Kosmos Honey Killer Bee Rub voor een lekker pittige smaak aan de buitenzijde.
Na 4 uur stoppen we met smeren en plaatsen we de thermometer, deze blijft bij ons 20 minuten hangen op 72 graden. Geen paniek, komt goed.
De kerntemperatuur gaat weer stijgen en na een kleine 5 uur zitten we rond de 87 graden kerntemperatuur en prikken we even in het vlees tussen de ribben. Dit voelt mooi zacht aan.
We snijden de ribben en serveren ze met wat frisse rode biet salade.
De smaak is weer echt anders dan short ribs.
Al met al ben je dus ca. 5 uur bezig maar het vraagt heel weinig werk. Ideaal dus op een mooie nazomerdag.

I love this lotion so much. It makes my skin hydrated and soft. Before, my skin would be dry and crack away from each other. My friends and some online dermatologists recommended this and it has been extremely helpful. If you use a scented lotion. Wear this lotion. Then the scented lotion and then the body oil. Seems like a lot of steps but this will help your skin in the future and will result in less dermatologist visits. It’s very soft and the first ingredient is water meaning it’s a water based moisturiser so the consistency is very good!

Always a Favorite of Mine

This lotion is fantastic for dry skin. It moisturizes without feeling greasy, and it absorbs well so you’re not walking around feeling like you just dipped your arms in oil.
I really like that it’s unscented, which makes it great if you’re sensitive to fragrances or just don’t want your lotion competing with your perfume. It leaves skin feeling soft and hydrated for hours.
I’ve tried a lot of lotions over the years, but this one does a really good job when your skin is seriously dry and needs real moisture.
Overall, a great everyday lotion that actually works. My skin definitely approves.

Problem finally solved! This stuff works.

I'm 60 and have very dry skin despite eating healthful food and drinking plenty of water.
I've tried every moisturizer available and I've finally found one that leaves my skin hydrated. It's the perfect thickness -- not too thick like a paste and not a thin lotion -- so it's emollient and soaks in without tugging on my skin during application.
This will be my after shower body lotion from now on. I'm wearing shorts and sleeveless tops again! 🥰

I'm impressed. It's very good stuff

I'm finding that menopause skin is very, very dry skin. Combine that with a harsh winter and my skin was in much worst shape than normal. I usually had noticeably dry skin on my legs & arms but winter made it itchy & more flakey. I started using the Eucerin calming formula but that did nothing for the dryness but did moderately help lessen the itching.
I got online to see what I could do for the flaking skin, add moisture and curb the itching without having to go to a dermatologist because I didn't think I had a major issue. My reading recommended alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) formula moisturizers and from reading amlactin was very popular and received high marks but I wanted to look at & try a couple of things before I committed to just one as it's likely this will become part of my regular skin care and I'd need an affordable option. I discovered the Eucerin AHA formula on Amazon, liked the reviews & decided why not try it. The price point was very good compared to amlactin. I received the Eucerin 12/14/2017 and have used it religiously twice a day. The flakiness subsided in a week and the itch only occurs on my back where I can't reach to apply it. This stuff has been wonderful to apply to my skin. My skin is no longer flaky or ashy & the rough patches are gone from my knees & elbows.
This stuff is very heavy but it doesn't feel greasy to me because my skin soaks uses it in pretty quickly. I am not sure if I could use this in a hot, humid summer but for the current -20+ wind chills I'm living through, that heaviness is working in my favor. If you don't want to apply a heavy thick lotion to your skin or if that type of formula could cause a breakout, this isn't the moisturizer for you.
It doesn't really have a smell to me. Once I apply it I only smell the scent of my bee & flower sandalwood soap. This lotion is not scented so that's a plus for me.
Also unlike amlactin it does not contain parabens.
I did order the amlactin and will try it after this is gone but it's likely I will continue with the Eucerin AHA formula. It has worked very well for me. I've not done price shopping for this locally so I can't add anything in terms of costs on Amazon versus brick&mortar.
But if you can handle its heaviness I'd definitely recommend it.

BEST REPAIR HAND AND BODY CREAM!

This is the best "repair" body/hand cream I've found, and I've tried quite a few. I have dogs and cats and I garden -- so I ALWAYS have scratches and tiny puncture woulds either from cats, dogs, rose bushes or cacti; and this Eucerin body cream helps to sooth and heal them quickly. I also notice that it helps relieve dryness very well, and once it soaks in, you aren't left feeling 'greasy'. It has no perfumes, and so is unscented.
