Deze rode wijn uit de Gamla serie is één van de nieuwste projecten van wijnmaker Victor Schoenfeld. Hij wilde een Israëlische rode wijn maken met de meest voorkomende blend op aarde de Cabernet Sauvignon en de Merlot druif. Nou dat is meer dan gelukt en deze rode wijn is een stukje vakwerk. Maar dat gaat niet van zelf, jaren lang heeft Victor getest en gekeken waar deze druiven het beste groeien in Israël. Het is uiteindelijk het Galilea gebied geworden omdat daar de beste appellatie van Israël ligt. In het noordelijk gedeelte op een hoogte van wel 1200 meter liggen de Cabernet Sauvignon en Merlot wijngaarden. Met diepe wortels in de vulkanische grond krijgen de druiven hun eigen indentiteit.Volledige handmatige oogst voor deze rode wijn van Gamla
Als beide druiven alles hebben kunnen opnemen uit de rijke bodem worden ze geheel met de hand geoogst. Tros voor tros wordt gecontroleerd en in kleine kratjes gelegd. Dit doet men om schade tijdens het transport te minimaliseren en om het zuiverste sap te verkrijgen. Wijnmaker Victor Schoenfeld wil namelijk met deze rode Gamla wijn laten zien hoe mooi het sap is uit de Golan Heights. Beide druiven worden apart gevinifieerd waarna de blend wordt gemaakt. De gehele wijn rijpt maar liefst twaalf maanden op zowel Franse als Amerikaanse houten vaten. Dat geeft deze rode wijn uit Israël zijn bijzondere karakter.De smaak van de Gamla Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot
Zodra de kruk van de fles gaat begint het feest, veel rijkdom van zwart fruit en mooie tonen van vanille en eiken hout spatten de fles uit. Bij het inschenken zien we een mooie diepe rode kleur met paarse schittering. We pakken door en we steken onze neus in het glas en we ruiken een samenspel tussen rijpe kersen en cassis met daarbij lichte vanilletonen en een mooie kruidigheid. In de mond geeft deze rode Gamla een warm mondgevoel met veel rijkdom van zwart fruit, kruiden, eiken hout, chocolade, samen met hints van bloemen en Franse eik.Shipping Notes

Pretty; sturdy; perfect size

Nice, sturdy little sponge and brush holder for the side of the sink. I was afraid my sink would me too small and spent lots of time trying to find a holder for the rim/countertop area. This one is not too big but fits my dobie and brillo perfectly. My sink is a little too short for a full fledged brush so when I tried to put in the brush I use sometimes it sticks up too much. That's really not the products fault so I won't subtract the score because of it. Also, I decided to put the holder flush against the side closest to me, instead of the side or the back of the sink. If I had chosen that location, the brush sticking out might not be an issue.

Yes the suction works on stainless steel!!

I've been through many rag holders before including a magnetic one, which broke. But the suction on this sucker (pun intended) is top notch! It doesn't slide around or come off or slide to the bottom of the sink. It just stays put which is so unique for anything with suction cups. The only reason i am giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is that it is quite small. I wish it were a few inches longer so i could easily fit two rags or sponges in the holder. But i have to jam them in and its not pretty. So for the price, i think it should have been bigger. Still a good product because of the functionality of the suction cups.

Absolutely Perfect

This is honestly one of my favorite kitchen purchases (which sounds silly) but it's AWESOME. There's a hole for my dish brush, which is so convenient and keeps it from draining anywhere else AND it has a nice ledge for my sponge. The suction was a little iffy at first, but once it really hunkered down, I've had it for a month and it hasn't fallen since the first day. I LOVE THIS

Great product once put on correctly.

When I first received it and placed it on, it continued to fall so I almost returned it. However, I found a method online that worked and it has not fallen since even after all the water and soap getting near it. I’ve placed it on a stainless steel sink so not sure if the method works on other surfaces.
Clean the area with soap and water and then make sure there’s no soap residue. Make the water temperature hot and “heat up” both the steel surface and the suction. While it’s still wet, firmly place the suction and make sure it doesn’t move.
That should do the trick!

Great item to make life more pleasant!

A tiny item that makes my life more lovely. No more yucky scrubber residue all over the counter edge, or soap leaking all over from a faulty handle. A sponge can be at hand and I can hang my cloth somewhere besides the top of the faucet. The suction cups stuck well now at first, and I can move it whenever I want. Not to big nor too small. Wire is firm and strong. Will edit if it doesn’t hold up but right now highly recommend!
Edit to add: A bit disappointing that the suction cups are not reliable. Even after carefully cleaning the side of my deep sink with vinegar and washing the suction cups, they come loose about once a day. Giving them a hard push on seems to help, but not a cure. I revised the rating to average 3 stars. It really isn’t a problem in the sink.
