De boeken zijn net zo bizar net als zijn leven. Ik lees het boek The kitchen readings. Untold stories about Hunter S Thompson wat een absolute heerlijkheid is om te lezen. Kwajongens maar dan met sloten alcohol en drgs.
Één van de vele vreemde gewoontes van Hunter was dat hij bij de lunch altijd de hele kaart bestelde. En altijd 1 glas water, koffie, bier en Chivas. Dat gegeven inspireerde mij tot dit schilderij. Het geheel kan ook zonder Hunter worden gezien als gewoon een gek karakter die dineert natuurlijk. Maar dit is het hele verhaal erachter en ik ben er gek op.
Dit werk is verf op papier gelakt en ingelijst. Zonder lijst €299 met lijst €650.
