This compact network storage interface is designed for professional film, television and post‑production workflows where speed, flexibility and collaboration are critical. It enables direct sharing of removable media disks across high‑speed networks, allowing teams to begin editing immediately without waiting for files to be copied. By combining local performance with global synchronization, it bridges on‑set acquisition and post‑production in a single, streamlined solution. 

The unit supports two independent 2.5‑inch drives, accepting both SATA SSDs and high‑performance U.2 NVMe media up to 11 millimetres in height. Each disk is mounted directly on the network, allowing multiple users to access camera originals at the same time. Thanks to dual 10G Ethernet connections, file access remains extremely responsive even when several editors, colourists or sound engineers are working concurrently. This makes it suitable for demanding formats, including large‑resolution digital cinema footage. 

Global collaboration is handled through seamless integration with Blackmagic Cloud. Media can be synchronized automatically between multiple locations, giving each site a fast local copy of the same files. Proxy workflows are fully supported, enabling entire timelines to be shared within minutes while original camera files remain synchronized in the background. This approach minimizes bandwidth usage while preserving a smooth editing experience across geographically distributed teams. 

The design follows a compact rack‑mount format, making it easy to integrate into studio racks or mobile DIT carts. Each drive bay is removable and hot‑swappable, allowing disks to be exchanged without interrupting operation. Individual activity LEDs provide clear visual feedback for each slot, while the robust construction is serviceable, extending reliability in long‑term professional use. Power is supplied by an internal universal AC supply, ensuring consistent operation worldwide. 

An HDMI monitoring output allows a connected display to show real‑time system information, including storage capacity, disk activity, user access and cloud synchronization status. Configuration and software updates can be performed via Ethernet or USB‑C using Blackmagic Cloud Setup, keeping installation and maintenance straightforward even in complex network environments.
