Van Alvaro werd verwacht dat hij naar Bordeaux ging om wijnbouw te studeren. Via een stage op Chateau Petrus raakte hij geboeid door de bijzondere terroir en de grootsheid van de wijn. Na zijn studie koos hij niet naar het familiedomein terug te keren maar zijn eigen weg te gaan. Hij sluit zich in 1989 aan bij enkele pioniers die de revival van de wijngaarden van Priorat nastreven. Priorat is een klein bergachtig gebied waar de Karthuizer monnikken de wijnbouw meer dan zes eeuwen lang hebben bedreven. De steile wijngaarden kunnen net als vroeger alleen met muilezels worden bewerkt, zeer arbeidsintensief. Alvaro bouwt een wijngoed op met wijngaarden als Gratallops, Finca Dofi en de absolute top: L'Ermita - een cultwijn. Als Alvaro's neef Ricardo Perez terug is in Spanje, wijst hij Alvaro op de sluimerende potentie van de versukkelde DO Bierzo. Beiden zien kansen en in 1998 startten ze samen een nieuw wijnbedrijf in Corullon. Ook in Bierzo zijn het oude, steile wijngaarden met veel leisteen. De locale druif is de Mencia. De druiven voor Petalos komen van kleine percelen uit 5 gemeenten in Bierzo en van zeer oude stokken. Handmatige oogst en strenge selectie. De rendementen zijn zeer laag. Vinificatie in open eiken en RVS vaten gedurende 25 dagen. De wijn rijpt in Frans eiken vaten, gedeeltelijk nieuw. Een kersenrode kleur, fruitige aroma's en florale tonen, maar ook mineraliteit. Een mooie afdronk.Naast het grote succes dat Alvaro Palacios in Priorat beleefde, startte hij met zijn neef Ricardo Perez een nieuw avontuur: de wijnen van Bierzo laten herleven. In Corullon zijn zij 100% gericht op Mencia. De Petalos is een wijn die uit steile wijngaarden met oude stokken wordt vervaardigd. De wijn heeft een kersenrode kleur, aroma's van rood en zwart fruit en florale tonen, maar ook mineraliteit. De smaak heeft een goede aanzet, is zacht, fris en intens met kruidige tonen. De wijn heeft een mooie, aanhoudende afdronk.Verrassende, Spaanse wijn uit Bierzo van Alvaro Palacios.Bij rood vlees, lamsbout en manchego.Op de steile hellingen aan de westkant van Bierzo uit gemeenten: Corullon, Valtuille, Villadecanes, Pandones en Villafranca del Bierzo.Shipping Notes

This book explains everything you need to know about starting a business. For example, how to get the funds for it, setting a budget, advertise, using AI, and so much more. My daughter is starting a bakery and this book has been really helpful, but still learning about everything, like the complex concepts, but it is easier with the help of this book.

Dream big

What a great collection of books if you have that dream of starting your own business and you don't know where to start, these books are ideal for you. They will guide you with actionable tips and step-by-step strategies and include real-world examples of how to achieve that dream of being your own boss. What I liked the most are the real-world success stories that the author includes, the stories serve as motivation. Each success story told is a lesson with practical ideas that will help you better understand the steps and tools you need to achieve your dream.
I found it very interesting that if the first book in the collection serves to guide you on how to start your business, in the second book the author will help you prepare for digital marketing, explaining that you should keep yourself updated with new trends, acquiring knowledge of where to invest and when, and most importantly that your business incorporates the latest AI tools to be more productive. These are some 💎 gems of books, these books serve as motivational guides with the tools and concepts that will help guide you on the path you need to take to achieve the business you dream of, I recommend it.
