Fifty-five years after the release of their first recording, Katia and Marielle Labèque celebrate an extraordinary artistic journey with “55”, a landmark 3-CD boxed set bringing together new recordings and curated archive treasures spanning more than half a century. First released in 1970 under the artistic guidance of Olivier Messiaen, the Labèque sisters’ debut album marked the beginning of one of the most singular careers in contemporary music. “Visions de l’Amen was our very first recording. We were 17 and 19. Olivier Messiaen himself asked us to record it”, as they recall.
Featuring 25 new tracks (recorded in 2025, including world premiere recordings) and 30 historic tracks (recorded from 1970-2024), the album offers an intimate portrait of two artists who have consistently crossed boundaries between classical, contemporary, jazz, minimalism and popular traditions. “55” has a particular focus on women composers with 12 of the 55 tracks written by eight different women. On these composers Katia and Marielle say: “Their apparent silence was only a veil imposed by history. Their stories - extraordinary journeys and courageous destinies - resonate today with striking force.”
Beyond its musical scope, 55 is also a visual and editorial object: the box includes photographs by Brigitte Lacombe, tracing more than four decades of shared artistic life and friendship, alongside a richly documented booklet with an essay by musicologist and journalist Renaud Machard, historical context and composer quotes.

Well worth the reasonable price!
My dogs love these. They hold up well to chewing and tugging. They’re a hit and will buy on repeat!

Hard diameter to find
I took a chance on these ropes being the right size diameter for my English Bulldog. So many times in pet stores they either have just the huge diameter for the large breed dogs or the very small diameter and length for the little dogs. These were perfect and a great value getting two ropes of the same size.

These are NOT meant for regular play like the other reviews seem to think.
First things first, ignore 90% of these reviews. The reviews saying these balls didn’t last very long clearly don’t know what they’re meant for. These are not “drop and play” kinds of toys. They’re meant to be used as reward toys. Meaning they get used during training sessions for a quick game of tug to reward the dog for good behavior. These are NOT meant for unsupervised play, and not meant for dogs who don’t have reliable recall or drop/Aus commands.
That being said, my dog is 95 pounds and stands 29” at the shoulder. She’s a big girl who plays rough. Immediately after opening the package, we did a quick training session with these reward toys. They held up EXTREMELY well. They are made of rubber which means she doesn’t shred them in one short game of tug unlike some of the foam reward toys you will come across. I did have to tighten the knot below the ball before using them, but that’s to be expected with any rope style toy.
If your dog does not have a reliable drop command and they are any larger than maybe 25lbs, I would not suggest using the smaller ball. If Nikita didn’t have a reliable drop command, it would be incredibly easy for her to wind up choking on the smaller ball. Even the large ball is pushing it on choking hazard size for a large dog, but again, reliable drop commands are important.
