Fipronil is een insecticide en acaricide behorend tot de fenylpyrazolen. Fipronil en diens metaboliet fipronil sulfon werken op de "ligand -gereguleerde" chloridekanalen, in het bijzonder de door neurotransmitter Gamma -AminoButyric Acid (GABA) gereguleerde als ook de door Glutamaat gereguleerde "desensitising" (D) en "non-desensitising" (N) kanalen (Glu, zijn unieke gereguleerde chloridekanalen, uitsluitend bij ongewervelden voorkomend), die binden aan het chloride kanaal en daardoor de pre-en post-synaptische overdracht van chloride ionen door de celmembraan blokkeren. Dit resulteert in ongecontroleerde activiteit van het centraal zenuwstelsel, waardoor de insecten en de acariden worden gedood.
Pyriproxyfen is een Insecten Groei Remmer waarvan de werking berust op juveniel hormoon analoge werking. Pyriproxyfen steriliseert volwassen vlooien en voorkomt de ontwikkeling van onvolwassen stadia. Het molecuul voorkomt, via contact, toename van het aantal volwassen vlooien door de ontwikkeling van hun eieren (ovicide werking), larven en poppen (larvicide werking) tegen te gaan, die vervolgens verdwijnen.
Indien volwassen vlooien pyriproxyfen opnemen en/of ermee in aanraking komen, steriliseert het molecuul tevens de vlooieneitjes tijdens hun ontwikkeling en nog voordat ze worden gelegd. Het molecuul voorkomt besmetting van de omgeving van behandelde dieren met de onvolwassen vlooienstadia.
Waarvoor wordt dit middel gebruikt
Te gebruiken bij vlooieninfestaties alleen of tezamen met infestatie met teken.
Tegen vlooien:
Behandeling en preventie van vlooieninfestaties (Ctenocephalides felis). Eén behandeling voorkomt verdere infestaties gedurende 7 weken.
Preventie van de vermenigvuldiging van vlooien door het voorkomen van de ontwikkeling van volwassen vlooien uit vlooieneitjes gedurende 12 weken na toediening.
Tegen teken:
Behandeling van tekeninfestaties (Ixodes ricinus).
Eén behandeling biedt persistente acaracide effectiviteit tegen Ixodes ricinus gedurende 2 weken en tegen Dermacentor reticulatus en Rhipicephalus sanguineus gedurende 4 weken.
Indien sommige soorten teken (Dermacentor reticulatus, Rhipicephalus sanguineus) bij toediening van het diergeneesmiddel al aanwezig zijn, kan het zijn dat niet alle teken binnen de eerste 48 uur worden gedood
Niet gebruiken bij
Niet gebruiken bij konijnen, aangezien bijwerkingen en zelfs sterfte kunnen voorkomen.
Niet gebruiken bij bekende overgevoeligheid voor de werkzame bestanddelen of één van de hulpstoffen.

Dosering
Dien één pipet van 2,68 ml toe per hond met een lichaamsgewicht van 20 tot 40 kg, overeenkomend
met de minimum aanbevolen dosering van 6,7 mg fipronil /kg lichaamsgewicht en 2 mg
pyriproxyfen/kg lichaamsgewicht.

Voor honden > 60 kg dient de geschikte combinatie van pipetten gebruikt te worden.
Aanwijzingen voor gebruik
Haal de pipet uit de blisterverpakking. Houd de pipet rechtop. Tik tegen het smalle deel van de pipet om er zeker van te zijn dat alle inhoud in het reservoir van de pipet zit.
Breek de punt van de spot on pipet af langs de breuklijn. Duw voor de schouderbladen de haren van de hond opzij tot de huid zichtbaar wordt. Plaats de punt van de pipet direct tegen de huid en knijp voorzichtig meerdere keren in de pipet om deze te ledigen. Indien nodig kan de inhoud van de pipet op 1 of 2 extra plaatsen worden toegediend om te voorkomen dat het diergeneesmiddel van de huid afvalt of te oppervlakkig in de vacht, wordt toegediend, met name bij grote honden.
De behandeling bestaat uit één pipet, met de mogelijkheid om toepassing maandelijks te herhalen.
Voor optimale controle van vlooien- en tekeninfestaties en de vermenigvuldiging van vlooien, kan het behandelschema worden aangepast aan de epidemiologische situatie.

OK for the price, but overall comfort is avergae

Easy to put together, color (mustard) accurate to images, and while I understand this is not a high-end chair, I feel like it still needs to be rated for its quality.
Pros: the seat cushions are fairly comfortable and it rolls well. Adjustable footrest is easy enough and mostly sturdy.
Cons: For a tall office chair, it doesn't go up high enough. I actually had to lower my standing desk to sit at it, which then isn't where I want it when I'm standing now. It's also a bit wobbly. The seat area's attachment to the post isn't as solid as it should be for a tall chair, so while sitting, it does tend to lean/slope forward and wobble side to side. The lumbar support is not adjustable, so I'm not even really sure what it does. And the armrests are not very comfortable to use. Since they are hard plastic, they are just a bit too rigid to rely on for any comfort. They are basically there to hold on to when you're getting out of the chair.

Good Value for a Tall Chair

I have received this chair just today and would like to give my first impressions of it.
Height is super adjustable as well as the foot rest. My desk is very tall (~34 inches vs standard ~29 inches) and does not suit a standard height chair. This chair's height is enough to sit comfortably at mybut also still having adjustment to be even higher.
Lumbar support is a manual adjustment that can be adjusted by sliding the lumbar piece up or down and it seems it can be tiled as well.
No reclining feature or slight backrest tilt adjustment. I'm used to my chairs reclining so it feels a little awkward siting in a flat base and straight backrest. I feel like I'm sitting too forward or leaning forward slightly but is probably something I can get use to.
Easy to put together and feels very sturdy. Plastic parts of chair are made from a really sturdy plastic, like playhouse plastic materials. Wheels roll around carpet easily. Mesh seems to be a strong material, though the mesh feels kind itchy on bare skin.
Overall, I think this is a good chair to get if you're needing a tall chair for a good value and can sacrifice no backrest tilt.

Perfect chair!

I have an adjustable-height desk (also purchased from Amazon) and needed a drafting chair for those times when my body gets tired of standing. This chair fits the bill and then some! I put it together myself; it took me about an hour, but would take me about half that next time, since now I know what to do (and what NOT to do!). All the parts were there; there are even spare parts (see photo). All the holes were drilled in exactly the right places, too, which isn't always the case when I buy things from Amazon (my standing desk is a great example). The chair fits me; I'm short (5'3.5"), and often the seats of furniture are too deep for me to rest my feet flat on the floor. The depth of the seat on this chair is just a little over 18 inches, and with the adjustable footrest ring, it's perfect. I don't think a tall or heavy person would fit in it, to be honest. But it's perfect for those of us who are vertically challenged. I love that it glides easily on my hardwood floors and that it turns 360 degrees. The chair comes in numerous luscious colors, so take your pick! It is very sturdy, has good lumbar support, and the seat and seat back are very comfortable. And the arms flip up, which was an absolute must when I was shopping for this chair. I got it on sale, too -- $109.00 -- and I'm delighted with this purchase.

Excellent adjustable drafting chair

Excellent chair design, extremely comfortable and exceptionally easy instructions to follow making for simple assembly. Love the amply wide cushioned seat and ergonomic backrest.
