Gezinsverbijstering (Nederlands Onbekendste Popster 3)

Op 24 januari 2025 verschijnt Gezinsverbijstering, het twintigste album van Meindert
Talma. Gezinsverbijstering is tevens Talma’s vijfde autobiografische boek-plaat-combi. 
Na Dammen met ome Hajo (1999) en Kriebelvisje (2003) begon Talma geïnspireerd 
door Mijn Strijd van Knausgård en Het Bureau van Voskuil met zijn autobiografische 
boek & cd cyclus Nederlands Onbekendste Popster. Na Kelderkoorts (2013) en Je 
denkt dat het komt (2017) is Gezinsverbijstering het derde deel. Waren de eerste twee 
delen een gezamenlijke uitgave van Uitgeverij Passage en Excelsior Recordings, dit 
keer verschijnen boek en geluidsdrager (LP en cd) apart van elkaar, maar wel 
gelijktijdig.

Boek en plaat Gezinsverbijstering beslaat de periode 2002 - 2008. Behalve wonderlijke 
en soms droef stemmende carrière perikelen lezen en horen we als rode draad hoe 
Meindert's liefdesavonturen in de stad Groningen uiteindelijk leiden tot zijn eerste keer 
samenwonen en de geboortes van twee dochters op het Groningse platteland.
Meindert schreef de liedjes voor Gezinsverbijstering en nam de plaat op in de No Pussy
Blues Studio te Groningen met zijn vaste band sinds 2015: Johan Kooi (drums, 
opnames en mixen), Jan Pier Brands (gitaar), Janke Brands (bas) en Herman Grimme 
(toetsen en pedal steel gitaar). Een gastrol is er voor Pieternel Teekens die in alle 
liedjes de backing vocals voor haar rekening nam.

I am a YouTube follower of the authors book, and I purchased her book to take advantage of her real life experiences of flipping over 30 + houses. Because I had already purchased my first house I focused on Part 2 to help me organize my renovation, and revaluate my approach. The book is well written, reading flows, the notes, graphics that call out important details are well place, the models to follow are super useful and the resources are endless. There is an online digital resource that is extremely helpful too. There is so much in this book. I will come back and update as I get through it, but I can say this is an excellent purchase already well worth the money spent. I watch her YouTube channel, and review the online resources regularly, and carry this book with me as I am doing the work as I work, so taking all my spare time to study and review. Part 2 is where I am focus now since I am starting my renovation. I am doing a "cosmetic" renovation, and her advice about where to focus my budget has helped me decide where to start, what to buy (study comps online - I personally like Redfin, but Zillow too) and I already have a realtor I am working with, and was recommended a contractor by my agent. So - off to the races. It is a downturn market so I am taking my first flip slow, but in a few months I will update my review. I highly recommend buying the book, it is like an idiots guide to house flipping, but better....you have her YouTube channel, and the online resources too! Enjoy!!
