Boscarelli Sotto Casa Vino Nobile di Montepulciano Riserva is een wijn die zijn oorsprong vindt in een wijngaard met specifieke kenmerken die bijdragen aan zijn unieke karakter. De wijngaard waar deze wijn wordt verbouwd, heeft een bijzondere bodemsamenstelling. De rode steenachtige grond is van alluviale oorsprong, wat betekent dat het afkomstig is van afzettingen van rivieren en beken. Deze bodem biedt uitstekende drainage en bevat een rijke mix van mineralen, wat gunstig is voor de groei van de druivenstokken. De druiven worden apart van elkaar zorgvuldig geoogst en naar de wijnmakerij gebracht. Na de ontsteling en pletting worden ze afzonderlijk gefermenteerd in eikenhouten vaten, die tot niet meer dan tweederde van hun capaciteit zijn gevuld. Inheemse gisten worden gebruikt tijdens het fermentatieproces, dat ongeveer een week duurt bij een gecontroleerde temperatuur van 28 tot 30 graden. Na de fermentatie rijpt elke cultivar afzonderlijk in Slavonische of Franse eikenhouten vaten, waar ook de malolactische gisting plaatsvindt. De rijping duurt 28 tot 32 maanden. Aan het einde van de afzonderlijke rijping wordt de uiteindelijke blend gemaakt. Boscarelli Sotto Casa Vino Nobile di Montepulciano Riserva is een wijn met een vol en uitnodigend aroma. In de neus komen rijpe bessen, sappige kersen en sappige pruimen naar voren, vergezeld van delicate tonen van viooltjes. De smaak is vol en geconcentreerd, waarbij het rijpe fruit de hoofdrol speelt. The "No added sweeteners" has been my go-to version of Metamucil, but I'm giving it 4 stars and moving on to another brand as the price is over $35 which is too much imo...

I like the mildly tart taste of this unflavored, unsweetened drink made up with water. The texture doesn't bother me, with stirring right from the beginning of adding the water, there is no clumping. After 10 days there is no effect on my bowels which were regular previously anyway. My doctor wanted me to use this although I already have a high fiber diet.

Definitely Not Unflavored. This is Tart / Sour, Which Limits the Options to Certain Juices

I was expecting an unflavored fiber powder. However, expect a sour/tart taste. This means you can't add it to tea or coffee. I don't think it is appropriate to say that it is "unflavored" as I've had psyllium husk from other vendors that are truly "unflavored" (i.e. no citric acid). Dextrin (another fiber source) is also unflavored. But this Metamucil is tart (like sucking a lime) and can only be added to tart juices like orange juice or lemonade.

I was worried about the taste based on some of the reviews. I tried it in my coffee, and I'm glad I did it that way. I keep coffee in the fridge, so that is what I mixed with one tablespoon of this. I use half and half and no sugar. I tasted it. It tastes like burnt coffee. Not a bad thing...thats just what the taste it added. I decided to see what would happen if I added a splash of a flavored creamer. The taste went away instantly. Hope this helps someone!

Fantastic product, dont like the texture - mix with food. Still 10/10 💩🎉

Taste:
While the product doesn’t taste bad, preparing it as directed results in a very mild orange flavor. -as a drink I would prefer more flavor.
Texture:
The psyllium husk absorbs water extremely quickly—even in cold or room-temp water—which is just the nature of the ingredient itself. Because it starts to gel so fast, you have to chug it, and even then it can be difficult to get down. (I personally gag at it, but I have sensory issues) If the gel like texture is an issue for you, I found it more palatable mixed into food with water on the side. Texture aside, the product itself is highly effective.
Mixability:
It doesn’t always mix smoothly and tends to clump. Again nature of the ingredient not the brand. The powder is very fine and non-gritty perfect for other mixings.
Side effects:
I had uncomfortable bloating the first time (2 scoops/ full glass), I recommend starting with (1 scoop or less/full glass) Dont rush it. Increase it from there as you grow tolerance. You may feel very full. - it helped me eat less!
