Carnaubawas wordt gewonnen uit de bladeren van de carnaubapalm (Copernicia prunifera), een tropische boom die groeit in het noordoosten van Brazilië. Deze natuurlijke was staat bekend als de "koningin van de wassen" omdat het de hardste plantaardige was is die bestaat, zelfs harder dan beton. De carnaubapalm maakt deze beschermende waslaag in het droge seizoen om zichzelf te beschermen tegen uitdroging en de intense hitte. Lokale gemeenschappen oogsten de bladeren duurzaam: ze worden gedroogd en geklopt om de wasschilfers los te maken, die vervolgens worden gereinigd. Onze carnaubawas is 100% biologisch en duurzaam geoogst. 

Belangrijke bestanddelen en werking 

Esters (85%) zorgen voor de harde structuur waardoor carnaubawas producten stevig houdt, zelfs bij warmte. Ze mengen uitstekend met oliën, waardoor je stabiele verzorgingsproducten kunt maken waarbij ingrediënten niet scheiden. 

Vrije vetalcoholen (13%) geven carnaubawas zijn gladde, glanzende afwerking en zorgen ervoor dat producten soepel over de huid glijden zonder zwaar gevoel. 

Door deze unieke samenstelling oxideert carnaubawas heel langzaam, waardoor je zelfgemaakte producten jaren meegaan. De was vormt een dunne, ademende beschermlaag die vocht vasthoudt, je huid kan ademen maar verliest minder vocht.

Finally a ball my power chewers cannot destroy

I have two dogs, an American Bully and an American Pit Bull Terrier, and both of them love to chew. Most balls last a very short time around here before they are shredded or missing big chunks.
