‘Plus’ bevat een combinatie van nieuwe liedjes en bewerkingen van bestaand Herman van Veen repertoire, uitgevoerd in samenwerking met artiesten uit verschillende generaties en -achtergronden. Centrale thema’s op het album zijn verbinding, pacifisme en kinderrechten. Het album is geproduceerd door Marnix Dorrestein en Carlos Vrolijk. Deze combi van producers laat het album bijzonder fris klinken zonder dat het de authenticiteit van Herman van Veen verliest. Herman van Veen voegt met ‘Plus’ een nieuw facet toe aan zijn indrukwekkende oeuvre. De foto van het artwork is gemaakt door William Rutten. 

 “Een bloemgezang. Op het album verzamelden we versjes. Sommigen van mij, andere van en met collega’s die ik bewonder, volg of toevallig tegenkwam. Allemaal van betekenis of omdat ze me raken. We hebben liedjes gesprokkeld die we wagen te zingen met een handvol stemmen die ik even mocht lenen.” 

Deze deluxe vinyl uitgave komt samen met een stickervel met de artiestenfoto’s. Op deze manier is het artwork naar eigen smaak in te vullen. Daarnaast komt de LP samen met ‘Hermans Vriendenboekje’, ingevuld door de artiesten op het album en voorzien van de songteksten van alle nummers. De LP is verpakt in een klaphoes met exclusieve, niet eerder vertoonde foto’s uit de studiosessies in de Wisseloord Studio.

De LP is gelimiteerd geperst in een oplage van 1000 stuks op 180 grams gerecycled vinyl . Hierdoor is de kleur van het afhankelijk van de persing van het moment.
