Deze (maag) bacterie is in 80% van de gevallen verantwoordelijk voor het ontstaan van een maagzweer. Daarnaast speelt de bacterie een rol bij het ontstaan van maagslijmvlies ontsteking en op termijn maagkanker. Een tijdige opsporing van de bacterie is dus belangrijk aangezien de bacterie ook goed bestreden kan worden.
Een gezonde maag? Nu thuis testen!
Deze zelftest is geschikt om thuis uit te voeren. Wel is het zo dat de test geen onderscheid kan maken tussen een eerdere besmetting of actuele besmetting. De uitslag is binnen enkele minuten bekend. De test heeft slechts een kleine druppel bloed nodig om antilichamen tegen helicobacter pylori (“maagzweer” bacterie) aan te tonen. Deze bacterie is over het algemeen goed te behandelen met een antibioticum of verschillende antibiotica. Vaak in combinatie met maagzuur remmers
Maag-Check® is aan te raden bij:
1. Klachten (zoals (vage) pijn in de maagstreek, misselijkheid, opgeblazen gevoel, gebrek aan eetlust en soms braken)
2. Een verdacht op de aanwezigheid van de bacterie.
2. Daarnaast is het een uitstekende test om na behandeling te controleren of de bacterie compleet weg is.
Na een vastgestelde besmetting en behandeling met een antibioticum, duurt het gemiddeld tot 6 maanden voordat de antilichamen uit het bloed zijn verdwenen. Maag-check® is een snelle en eenvoudige test om na die periode uit te sluiten dat de bacterie niet nog (of opnieuw) aanwezig is. Aan te raden valt bij een eerdere besmetting, de test 2 maal per jaar te herhalen. Dit kunt u eenvoudig thuis doen. Een behandeling met een antibioticum biedt geen garantie dat de Helicobacter Pylori bacterie niet opnieuw de kop op steekt. In sommige gevallen kan het langer duren voordat alle antilichamen uit het bloed zijn verdwenen en voordat de test negatief gaat worden.

Exceptional quality!
I have had these dishes for two years and highly recommend them. For the price, it is unbeatable. These have the benefits of significantly higher priced dishes. They are a solid weight, which is an important factor in preventing them from being too hot to touch after microwaving. When filled with freshly brewed coffee, the mugs can be on the verge of being too hot to touch, but there is no issue if holding from the handles. I have a fireclay sink that could cause issues with weaker dishes. The handles on the coffee mugs have proven durable over time. I have never experienced a crack in the mugs, even where the handles meet the mugs. I have dropped dishes over time. These do not splinter or shatter into tiny pieces like comparably priced dishes. These crack into large pieces. I have endured chips and cracks in a bowl and plate. Neither broke apart further, despite hot or cold temperatures from microwave, dishwasher, or ice cream. I have not experienced any staining over time. The dishes clean very well in the dishwasher. The minimalist style, weight, and functionality of these dishes compare to sets that cost significantly more money at luxury brand stores.

Good design and size.
I was surprised at the quality. of this dish set. The cups were well balanced and delightful to use. The bowls are of good shape and just the right size for a bowl of cereal or soup.

Minimalist, imperfect but certainly reasonably good for the price
This is a set of 16 pieces, all of which are usable and practically sized, including the coffee/tea/beverage cups. While this is absolutely not high quality it is more than expected for $30 or so. The dishes are on the heavier side, not very lightweight brittle. I doubt they are break resistant. While they appear bone white, which they are, I'm not sure they are pure white (almost.) Some dishes will feature some small imperfections, like a small dot here and there, nothing too terrible. Stacking them is where you'll notice that the large plates are absolutely not perfect and you'll see that the ends are not perfect by rotating the plates and you'll notice areas they go slightly up and down. Again, nothing really noticeable or terrible unless you stack them.
If you've got a dorm room, don't care too much about having anything more than a minimalist set of reasonable quality dishes that you won't get embarrassed about for serving casual meals, this makes for a decent set. Hopefully they are safe (supposedly Amazon says they are) and they are made in China.
If you're wondering about branding, on the bottom of each item there is a conspicuous amazon basics logo.
